Long night for Miles

Later that night

Inside God Jovi's chamber

          

            "Greetings your majesty." God Miles said as he bowed to the king. "Oh Miles, you have arrived. Come sit here." Both the father and son gets settled inside the sitting area in the king's chamber. "Right now I called you as a father, not as the king, dear Miles."

           Both shared a sweet a pleasant smile, before Miles said, "Father, it's great to see you again." And laughed. "Okay enough, now listen. Tomorrow will be your test, I for sure know that you will succeed that, but still it's my responsibility to again make you remember that what you are doing that for, you are going to be in my place once I am dead.." "Don't say these kind of things Father." Miles say in between. "That's the order of the universe my child, we are bound to follow. Even tho, we are God we can't exist forever. Yes we do have way longer living years than what is given to the humans, the greatest creation of ours. I have lived long, have seen you both grow up into fine young men, who can control the universe far more better than what I have done. Now it's my time to put an end to my reign."

           "What are you saying father, you can't do that, me, Jude, this heaven, the whole universe still need you, you can't go like that. I am not even fully trained to be the king after you." Miles said. "That's why I am putting you through these three test my dearest. Otherwise why would I test you. You have been trained your whole life, from the day you were born to this day, now you are 27 thousand years old. I know this is very young anyone has ever been given the rule of the entire universe, but I know you can do that way better, you can take responsibility and give command, rule wisely, you are already my army chief, a great warrior, what else can anyone ask for. And moreover your father is tried now, he wishes all of these to end and meet your mother in another life."

           After his mother being mentioned Miles doesn't say anything to oppose his father's desicion. He stays quiet to which his father continues, "After giving you all the responsibility and power, I'll walk on the way of death. The bridge made especially for the king's who have reigned long enough and have given their power to their heir, and only truthfully wishes to die, without anyone's compulsion." Miles eyes gets teary. King looms at him, "No Miles, you have to be strong and make your father proud."

"I'll always follow your path father, I'll rule truthfully and powerfully."

           "Yes just like that. Now go and have a good sleep, be prepared for tomorrow." Both father and son bid each other goodnight. Miles goes to his palace. When he is on the stairs to the gate, he sees that a female is standing near the entrance who is not a servant or anyone related to his Palace. He takes his sword out in his hand.

            He enters inside and places the sword on her neck. She flinched and immediately turned around terrified. Miles recognized that she is not a stranger but the daughter of a inferior rank deity Magnus, Ava. She used to supervise in his palace for a long time.  "My lord, I am sorry if I have committed any sin. Please forgive me." Ava pleaded. To which Miles laughed and said, "Ava you didn't commit any sin, I thought some unknown person is standing here so I was just being cautious. By the way what's the reason for coming to my palace at this hour?" Miles asked while both started walking towards the most beautiful garden to ever exist, situated in Miles palace. It had numerous varieties of flowers, plants. A lots of butterflies and fireflies, it was lighted without any other objects but just the fireflies. It had a pond and a sitting near it.

          "Woah!" Ava exclaimed. "It has become much more pettier than when I last saw it." "Ofcourse, but it still misses you, you really had taken well care of it Ava. Now who will answer my question?" Miles raised his eyebrow playfully. "Oh, I am really sorry. Actually, tomorrow you are having a test, I just wanted to wish you all the best for it. Moreover after you become king, you won't have any spare time to spend with this lowly servant of yours." Ava said showing her sadness in her voice. "Why do you think so? And first of all you are not a servant but a deity. Second, thanks for your well wishes. And even when I become king I will only come towards you to spend my spare time and forget about all the stress, you are my best friend Ava." Miles replied sweetly. Ava also smiled after hearing that but she was unhappy as she didn't want to be his friend but way more than that she loves him, from that very first day when she started to serve in his palace.

          After bidding Ava goodnight Miles come to his chamber. He had numerous thoughts, he was nervous about what is coming to his way from tomorrow. His whole life will be changed from tomorrow. He becomes restless and gets up to vist his mom's tomb.

           There is a place called lamented gods, where people in heaven go and pray to the ones who have died. This place holds all the deities who have died. Miles enters lamented God place. Stands there in silent for a while, no movement. But his mind is in chaos. He then proceeds to light a candle and speaks, "I am ready to face all the challenges that come my way but mother I feel like I am alone in this war. Everyone is around me, with me, respects me but inside it feels like Everyone is just against me. Mother, I'm these hard times, I want you, I need you. I can't even cry infront of people, at night when I am trying to sleep all the things, worries comes back to my mind. When I can't help it I shed tons of tears, alone. Mother, there is no one to wipe them for me. Am I even potential enough to be king if I am this weak? Or is these all just normal? Mother when you were with me everything was so simple and easy. Now everything is strenuous, I am not complaining that it's hard. I just want to know the way to it's end mother. From tomorrow everything is going to be a lot harder than it already is, mother please be with me. Help me to be the best in whatever I do."
