The manager sees that Gray is not pleased with what he has said, he laughs shortly and leans forward with a cheeky smile.

“Let me be real with you, Mister Lance. Nothing is free, not even a loan. You are supposed to think of this as a favour, because you don't tick all the criteria on the list.”

“What is the criterion that I haven't fulfilled? Tell me!” Gray asks with annoyance. “I already told you that I have an account here.”

“Come on my friend. What's the use of checking the account? I know that it's less than a hundred dollars,” the man snickers.

The man smiles, thinking that he is the smartest person in the world.

“Don't teach me how to do my job, Mister. You look like a good man, I want to make things easy for you.” He says. “That's the way that this will go. I will approve the loan immediately, but I have a fee and that's one million dollars.”
