THE JAILBREAK

Jack and Jane were in the car, heading towards the company where Jane was going to work.

They were about five minutes away from the place until Jack decided to break the silence.

He intentionally asked that question so he would be able to break that silence because he knew that nobody had contacted Jane.

“ Not yet, I don't even know what they are doing now, and I don't even know how to call them and find out what is going on.

Besides, this proceedings will definitely be on a weekday, and that means I will have to skip work to appear in court, of which i don't think it is possible” Jane said.

“ I think you can go if you want to.

The farthest the proceedings can go is for about two hours, and I think you can put it in a schedule.

Alternatively, you can relieve all your schedules from work that day and skip it, and then you can go to the courtroom. They all workout” Jack repl

THE INFORMATIONJack drove home at top speed, He was still listening to a discussion being made on the news about the case of the Mayor. He had now learned that there were about seven men with a van that had no number plate. They all had high-powered rifles that were more powerful than the police. He was sure he was going to handle all of them if he came into contact with them.Although it was a matter of risk, yet he was willing to take the risk in order to bring the Mayor to book. He got home in twelve minutes and went inside, emerging five minutes later with his backpack. He went to the garage and drove out his pickup instead of the one he had just brought home.He slowly drove out of the compound and maintained a speed of 20 miles per hour.Jack drove slowly on the road for about five minutes before a call finally came in on his phone. It was the same person he had called earlier when leaving the company premises. His bluetooth device was now in his ear, so

THE ORIGINAL MISSION“ I can do this” He murmured to himself “ Let us begin now,” Jack said.“ Okay sir” the voice replied. “ But sir, you first need to get rid of the man at the gate, and you know the sedative pistol will not get that far” the voice said.Jack did not reply.Instead, he placed the tablet back into his clothes and heaved a sigh. Jack took out the sedative pistol and crawled forward a bit, revealing his head in the clearing. He quickly aimed at the man at the gate and shot the pistol, and the sedative went straight into the man’s neck.In less than a second, the man was down on the floor.Jack stood up and ran hurriedly but silently to the gate where he was now lying, unconscious. He took out his gun and held it in the other hand.“ One of them is down, I need you to help me now. Focus on the cameras and tell me if any danger is approaching” Jack whispered.“ Okay, sir, I’ve got you, let's move,” the voice replied.Jack heaved a sigh and walked into

ONCE I LEAVE HERE George was in his bedroom, sitting on the edge of his bed, leaning against the wall, and smoking a cigarette. He had an ashtray in front of him and several lots of cigarette butt's in it.There was a big bottle of Heineken on the floor, emptied.A stack of papers were on the table that were waiting to be attended to, but none of them were opened.Ever since George returned from the burial of his father, he had not been himself. He had resorted to smoking packs of cigarettes and taking at least a bottle of Heineken daily.Tracy had been worried and tried to talk him into stopping, although it was only about a day now.George had lost touch with the world and was now behaving somehow abnormally; at least, that is what everyone thoughtGeorge was taking puffs from his cigarette with a smile on his face.As he sat ‘enjoying’ his smoke, Tracy walked into the room..She nearly choked from the smell in the room but quickly comported herself and walked in.“ We need to ta

MONEY IS POWER.Jack glanced at his time as he ate.It was almost time to go pick up Jane from work, and he had not eaten anything after the breakfast he had with Jane.Right after he returned from his mission, he had been utterly busy with so many files from work he had to attend to. He was already exhausted, but he knew he had to do it.As he enjoyed his meal, a call came in on his phone.Jack stared at the screen and smiled as he saw the caller. He answered the call and placed the phone to his ear.“ Hello,” He said.“ Hello, good afternoon sir, do you have a minute please, there is an important information” the caller said “ I am listening man, what is going on?” Jack asked. “ Well, sir, we are ready now. Everything is settled, and we have come to an agreement, I think we can proceed with the works now” the caller said.“ That means we have to wait for a few days before we embark on this.We should leave at least two days in it, to make it look less suspicious, then we can begin

AN IDEA“ If you have those skills, why then don't you go to your father's house and beat all the guards and everybody, including your cousin, and take everything away from them?” Jane asked with curiosity in her tone.Jack let out a short smile.“ It does not work that way, dear. We learn martial arts not to fight people but to defend ourselves.Besides, if I beat George and his men and they leave, I am still not the owner of the properties. The documents of the house are now in his name, and that means he is still the owner. That means the only way I can get it back is by getting the items transferred to me” Jack replied.Jane kept quiet and looked at Jack.Jack then remembered something and continued.“ Talking about my cousin and his stuff, there is some good news here. Everything I planned is on course now, and we are on the verge of winning.I know that in a week by this time, I will be with my properties.” Jack said.Jane looked at him with suspicion.“ What did you do this ti

SENSE OF FREEDOMAlfred walked out of the house and onto the compound with his backpack tucked firmly on his back.He walked hurriedly towards the exit.As he got to the gate, he was approached by the security.“ Excuse me, sir, sorry, but you can not go out. Your father has instructed me not to allow you” the security said politely.Alfred looked at the man with a serious face.“ I just got off the phone with him.The man who came in came with something and I needed to go deliver it with somebody else.I just spoke to him a few minutes ago, and you can call him to confirm.” Alfred said with a stern face. The security man saw the seriousness in Alfred’s face and knew there was no need to call anyone to confirm. He quickly apologized to Alfred and opened the door for him.Alfred smiled widely and walked out.Getting outside, Alfred contemplated which part route he was going to take, and after a few seconds, he took one.He knew his father might get home very soon, and

AFTER THE SENTENCEAfter the audio ended, everywhere in the room went quiet.Jack had a wide smile on his lips.Alfred looked shocked as he gave Jack a deadly stare. He knew he was not in a position to say anything at that point, and whatever he said at that time would not be considered. The judge went on to speak.“ We have heard your piece of evidence counsel, however, I don't think it is going to alter our judgment today looking at the fact the accused have already pleaded guilty to all the accusations levelled against them, and the details of the audio happen to be one of them. However, his property will be confiscated and handed over to the state, who will decide what to do.
