CHAPTER 115

IMAGINATION AGAINST REALITY

Alfred was led away into the police car by two of the police men.

They put him in the police car and only one of the policemen sat with him in the back.

Soon, they were all set on the road and heading towards the police station, back in the city they had come from.

Alfred's car had three policemen. The driver, one of the men sitting in the front seat, and the third policeman sitting right beside him.

A lot was going on in Alfred's mind.

He knew very well that he had messed up big time.

At first, he thought he could just plead with his father for mercy, but from what his father had said to him earlier, he was sure that he was in deep trouble.

His father's words kept ringing in his ears like a bell.

“..... You can always run, but you are not good enough to hide.

I wanted to give you a last chance, but you threw it away in the trash.

I know I can no longer trust you again.

I knew you to be so many things, but theft was never one of them.
