CHAPTER 121

TIME FOR JUDGEMENT

After twenty minutes of the judges being away, they finally came back in, and the court resumed.

Everything was set, and everywhere was quiet.

They were all waiting for the judgment that was going to be pronounced.

The judges finally settled, and their leader began speaking.

“ We are sorry for the short break in the proceedings.

We had to decide on suitable punishments and reliefs for both parties.

Thus is hereby our judgment…” The judge began to read out their judgment.

The whole place was as quiet as a cemetery.

It is so quiet that one could hear his or her own heartbeat.

Jane was very nervous and had her hand pressing against Jack's hand so hard that one would have thought she wanted to break them.

Jack, on the other hand, kept his composure and had smiles playing on the corners of his mouth.
