CHAPTER 33

A GOOD AND BAD NEWS

Thursday evening, the McAllister Mansion

George was pacing up and down the living room with his hands on his cheeks.

He was chewing on a gum violently and loudly.

An ashtray with cigarette butts was seen on the table, and the whole place was smelling like cigarettes.

He had just quenched the last one he was smoking when someone came to give him the news.

He looked visibly angry and frustrated.

A man stood on one side of the room with his hands on his back, sadness drawn in on his face.

Fear was written all over him, too. And it was predictable that he was in some kind of trouble with George.

It was the same man who had come to him that morning and had received some serious instructions on how to do something.

It was obvious that the man had failed or something really terrible had happened .

George stopped pacing up and down after some time and looked at the man straight in the eye.
