At The Doctor's

The doctor chuckled with sarcasm.

‘’You certainly do not expect me to believe that, right? You are part of the war. You are a gangster. Look at the car you came here with, how are you able to afford it?’’ the doctor asked.

‘’It’s not my car. It’s a friend’s car. Just treat me, doctor. All these other questions have nothing to do with you,’’ Marcus replied.

‘’Yes, I will treat you but I will also alert the police. You, gangsters, are doing too much in this city. We have to look for a way to curtail all your excesses because you lot are driving the city down the drain,’’ the doctor argued.

Marcus didn’t say anything to refute what the doctor had said. He had in mind to escape as soon as he was left alone in his ward to heal.

Certainly, the doctor would not call the police immediately after treating him, would he? He would wait for a couple of days until Marcus started to heal before he called the police.
