''Make sure to stay away from the Bans,'' Don Black called Austin Black immediately after he dropped the phone call with Mr. Ban.

''How do you mean?'' Austin Black asked.

''Is there anything the matter? I thought you assured me that there was no way that Mr. Ban would find out about...'' Austin Black was saying this when his father interrupted him.

''He does not know anything. He called me earlier, asking speculative questions, and the rest, he was not sure of anything,'' Don Black replied hastily.

There was a brief silence at first, then Austin Black asked.

''Did he mention my name?''

''Yes, of course, he did. He said you wooed his niece into giving out information...'' Don Black explained. He was somewhat at the edge.
