CHAPTER 76

Goya was the first to reach where Rowan was.

Rowan was still conscious, but his whole body was in a mess. More than outer injuries, his body suffered internal injuries because of Rose Witch’s sonic attack.

Rowan was slowly healing thanks to his Jackal’s Recovery skill.

“Who did you fight for you to lose like this?” Goya asked him, almost laughing at him in pity.

“If you came here just to laugh at me, then get the fuck out of my sight,” Rowan growled, “before I grab you by your ears and break all your teeth.”

“You can’t do that now, though,” she covered her mouth with her paw and giggled some more.

Rowan wished he could get up right now so he could smash the smugness off of her face. “Mm?” Just then, he noticed something. “Wait, were your eyes always yellow?”

“Ah, no,” she said, blinking a few times. “I leveled up and crossed level 100. My sight vastly improved now. I can even see the lines on the leaves of the trees that are hundreds of meters away from me. This is a very handy skill.
