She wanted him to remain outside because she knew what her mother and grandmother felt about him. But again, she might need him inside. He might be the person she needed to keep her company and make things make sense. She hoped.

They walked into the elevator in silence and it went up. He wanted to open up, he wanted to tell her why exactly he wanted to come and talk to her mother and grandmother so badly. But again, he didn’t want to ruin this.

And besides, he wasn’t even sure of what he was thinking might have happened and might be going on. But he just wanted to conform and get them out of the picture. Make sure they were not involved in any of this. Or else everything will be ruined for him and her.

They got out of the elevator and walked to the room in total silence.

“Again, are you sure about what you are doing? You don’t have to do this, Trevor. Don’t be stupid. You can wait for me outside or anywhere I can find you. I know them and it’s better if I talk to them alone,” she
