CHAPTER 55

THE FLIGHT TO Illinois was uneventful. True to Maureen's word, the flight got awfully cold and he wrapped himself with the quilt that she had given him.

A few hours later, they touched down at an airport in Illinois.

Jon got his luggage from the baggage claim and headed for the main gate. He saw a security man that looked very familiar. He can never forget those bulky shoulders, but to be sure, he went round to see the face of the man, and he was right.

"Hello, Rico," Jon said coolly.

The man turned blankly and looked at Jon.

Jon could see the screws in his brain working overtime to remember where he had been seen.

Jon could never forget. He can never forget that night. The night of his birthday. The night of Kim's ultimate betrayal… and it was with this man standing in front of him.

"Don't remember me, do you?" Jon asked again, raising his eyebrow.

The man, Rico, still had a blank face as he stared at Jon.
