CHAPTER 186

Ryan was seated at the corner of the restaurant sipping slowly from the wine glass and had his eyes fixed on his iPad as he strolled slowly.

He needed to take his mind off some stress after a series of back-and-forths. He chooses a perfect spot to relax his mind.

The restaurant door swung open and Ryan glanced up, his eyes widened in surprise, and he blinked twice to be sure he wasn’t making a mistake. Entering the restaurant was his old friend Freddie, arm in arm with a lady.

Ryan hadn’t seen Freddie in years, Freddie was the friend who helped him secure a job at Express Cargo a long time ago, but he left a few weeks after Ryan got employed. The sight of Freddie brought a genuine smile to his face.

Freddie and the lady were walking slowly when Ryan called his name.

“Freddie Armstrong! Is that you?” Ryan said softly.

Freddie furrowed his brow, he looked straight to where he heard his name. He spotted Ryan and broke into a broad grin.

“Ryan Baker! What a coincidence, it’s been ages.”
