CHAPTER 81

Ryan blinked his eyelids twice, refocusing his attention on the meeting at hand, he cleared his throat in an attempt to gather his thoughts.

With a smile on his face, he mouthed. “Yes, let’s review the projection for each department first.”

He delved into the discussion, his executives nodding their heads intermittently as they listened to what their boss was spilling out. He stopped and he was struggling to concentrate. His mind drifted back to the image of Brown and how his car exploded. He couldn’t shake the feeling of the guilt that gnawed at him.

“What if I was not there to save him, what would have happened to him? Where was he coming back from and where was he going to by that hour of the night,” he said in his thoughts.

“Sir! Sir! Are you alright? You seem distracted.” Mrs. Juliet Benjamin asked.
