HIS RESURGENCE CHAPTER 96Sirens blared in the darkness and the silent woods became agog with cacophonous sounds. The woods lit up with the flashes from the police vehicles that had surrounded the little shack.They had arrived just in time to hear a gun go off and a high pitched shriek from a woman whom they figured was the captive. Governors, business tycoons, the press and everyone that mattered were all present at the center. The Don was right, no one would pass up the chance to be captured and televised for their good deeds and involvement in charity. For most, it was all about getting good press for their personal ambition and not necessarily their genuine interest for the cause.It didn’t matter though.Everything that had happened that day slipped by in a blur.
