Chapter 25

I walked through the long corridor, giving glances at the portrait which decorated the off-White walls.

It was as if they worshiped themselves here.

A huge picture of Mr. and Mrs. Parker hung at the far end of the hallway. They were in each other's arms as they smiled at the camera dreamily.

They looked… in love.

But now, I guess their busy lives are replacing much of their family time because Chase doesn't always go to him often; instead, he enjoys staying with me.

I turned to the side, spotting a picture of Chase and a little girl. His sister? He never told me he had a sister. He only told me about how busy his parents are.

She looks beautiful.

Chase was smiling wide, showing all his teeth and also holding his sister's hand.

We kept on walking, turning down another hallway to a door.

His mother pushed it open and we stepped into a big room colored sky blue.

Now, I'm wowed.

"You like it?" She asked as I smiled at her.
