Chapter 33

I panted really fast. I could hear my heart breathing.

"Do you believe me now?" He asked.

"You knew?" I turned to face Lydia. "You knew." I approached her and reached for her neck. When I got hold of her neck, I hurled her toward the tree in rage, then walked back to Corner.

"Calm down, Inez." he said, and I kept walking towards him.

My hatred for King Cain increased as I turned around and walked back home in silence.

I walked to the backyard and climbed the ladder to my room. I didn't let anyone know I was already home. I could do a lot of damage if I saw anyone next to me.

I laid on my bed and began to cry. Over and over.

Mom lied to me. Why did she do that? The council knows who I am and whose daughter I am, and still they kept it away from me.

Why, mother, why? I keep crying as I question myself, then I heard a knock on my window.

I didn't want to see anyone at the moment because I could damage the person or even use the person as my lunch.
