Chapter 38

"They are witches. Powerful ones." Lydia said to me. "I will take care of them."

"Denise, take Chase out of here." I said to her as she carried the sack along with Chase, finding their way out of the academy.

"You made a mistake, Moon. My men will find them and have them for brunch." She licked her lips.

She tried to attack me, but I withdrew the blade from the attack before it could hit me by rotating it around the hilt to hit with the false edge on the other side.

She started her monologue again. Wanting me to willingly come with her but I don't think she gets it.

I stepped back, balancing my weight on my left foot, and threw my right fist out in a curved punch at her temple. Turning ninety degrees to the side, she brought her right forearm up to counter the blow, formed a fist with her left, and threw it at my outstretched jaw.

I am in trouble.

She kept punching my face. "I told you to come with me. Now I have no choice."
