29. A Weirdly-Shaped Cloud
A dirt clod sailed towards me as though it were thrown underhanded at a toddler. My hand rose and the lump of earth thumped into my palm, catching it easily. I crushed the earthy projectile before letting the damp soil crumble and tumble to the ground as I opened my fingers.

She sent a stone at me in the same gentle manner, which I easily side-stepped.

“I know I came off a bit worried about it earlier, but this is– Ow!” One of her little rocks darted through the air like it was shot by a BB gun, hitting my thigh with a sting of quick pain.

“What was that?!” the warden called through a cheshire grin, leaning forward slightly as though she didn’t hear me.

Another stone came at me, rushing towards me at a speed somewhere between the one that’d just hit me and the one that’d come before. I was ready for it, but wasn’t certain where she was aiming, causing me to clumsily hop to the side to get completely out of the way.
