Chapter 133

Cleaning up a destroyed body, especially a hundred-year-old dead body, is not as easy as it sounds.  Jennifer and I had to get to Todd, but we just could not leave Mrs. Williams’ dead corpse, however many pieces she was blown into, lying around on the ground outside of the school laboratory.  Tomorrow was a school day, and this place would be riddled with nosey little kids and intuitive, barely, adults swarming the school like ants on an ant hill.

Just as Jennifer and I began to clean up the remnants of Mrs. Williams, a disconcerting noise rumbled from inside Todd’s windowless white van with the fucked-up hood and magical exotic Italian engine.  Stanley the poodle flinched in fear, but he was quickly learning that we were his new owners and would let nothing bad happen to him.  The van began to rock left to right and front and back, a sort of shimmy of dancing.
