Chapter 13

It turns out that the migraine and the immense disorientation it came with was the least of my problems.  Because of the light sensitivity, I left the lights off in the bathroom, only moonlight came through the small window adjacent to the shower.  Barely able to see, I cranked the hot knob to maximum heat and waited the brief seconds it took for the water to turn into clear lava.

Entering slowly, careful not to slip, I lowered my body to the ground, sitting on my knees allowing the molten hot water to batter my head and neck.  The pain from the migraine was replaced with rushes of air flowing through my sinuses allowing me to breath and put out the internal fire consuming my skull.

At this moment, I was at peace.  No pain, no trauma, just pure relaxation.  The moon continued to gently illuminate my surroundings as the steam from show
