Chapter 77

With Jennifer down and hurting badly from the fiery eyes of the demon wolf and Jackson taking extreme damage to his torso to divert the flaming stare away from Jennifer, I felt I had no choice but to intervene in a big way and put this transforming demon down for good.  If I squeezed Jackson’s hand hard enough, we would combine and send the mother of all attacks onto the demon blocking our passage down to the first floor. 

Jackson was resisting me, the more I pulled on him to get him out of the glare of the demon, the more he held his position and took, what appeared to be, irreparable damage to his body.  I could literally look down at him and see his ribs turning to dust from the extreme heat generated by the demon’s burning stare.  I knew he wanted to do something, something big to try to stand out from the rest of us as a key member of The Wall, but I was not about to stand id
