It was early in the morning, but Hazeed's misfortune had already begin.

Hazeed, who was washing his bike, was shocked when the landlady threw everything out of his room.

Not only that, but she turned off the water tap.

"Get out of here right now, you're five months in arrears and you're still wasting water! This room is already rented!" said Ms. Lisa.

"But ma'am, I'm still working on it," said Hazeed, hurriedly putting down the water hose and quickly tidying up his clothes that were scattered outside the room.

"No, you can't! Leave now because the person will be here soon," said Mrs. Lisa adamantly.

Hazeed could only remain silent. He realized that he was five months in arrears and it was very good for him that Ms. Lisa was only kicking him out now.

Hazeed couldn't do much about it. He quickly carried his meager belongings away on his old moped.

The sun was still warm on his tan skin. Hazeed's only thought this time was to try to find a rooming house that he could fill without having to give a down payment.

"Maybe someone in the office will know," he muttered as he continued on his way to a pet shop near the campus where he worked part-time.

He arrived at the pet shop.

"Morning," Hazeed greeted the shop owner.

But the young woman with brownish hair was staring at him intently.

"Do you dare to come again?" Monic the shopkeeper said to him.

"What do you mean?" asked Hazeed, getting confused.

"Hmm, don't play dumb! You were the one who secretly sold the cat food stock? And didn't record it in the sales journal? You want to fold from me?" said Monic, getting inflamed.

"No Monic, I couldn't have done that, everything I sold was instantly transacted with the barcode, so the system saved it immediately," Hazeed replied defensively.

His eyes now looked to Farhan who was in the corner of the room chuckling at him.

"Fuck you Farhan, you did it but you threw it at me," Hazeed said to himself.

"You don't need to come to this pet shop from now on! I've fired you! Go away! Hush! Hush!" Monic scolded.

Monic didn't take it lying down. Hazeed stepped in front of Farhan.

"I didn't realize you could slander me this badly, Han!" said Hazeed, his hands clenched into fists and almost touching Farhan's face if Monic didn't stop him.

"Don't make a scene in my pet shop or I'll report you to the police for shoplifting!" Monic said angrily.

Hazeed could only gulp his saliva roughly. He didn't expect Farhan, whom he had reprimanded yesterday afternoon for being caught selling several packets of cat food to a customer, to slander him to Monic.

Monic herself was a college friend of Hazeed and Farhan. She comes from a family of businessmen so at a young age she already owns a pet shop business.

Hazeed couldn't blame Monic, he would have acted the same way if he knew his employees were cheating like that.

Hazeed then drove his old motorbike again on the city streets that were starting to get crowded with vehicles. He didn't expect to have so much bad luck come his way today. He slowly turned the bike onto the road leading to his college.

Hazeed was still traveling slowly when a speeding car hit him.

BUKK

A luxury sedan hit him from behind and knocked him several meters forward.

Hazeed felt his head spin, he felt blood flowing down his right temple from the impact on the corner of the sidewalk.

There was no one to help him as the road near the college was still very quiet.

He sat on the sidewalk still trying to take in what had happened.

"You scratched my car!" a woman said as she approached him.

"You hit me, why are you angry?" Hazeed said defensively as he continued to wipe his temples which were noozing fresh blood.

"You're going slow..." the woman said as she collapsed in front of Hazeed.

"Oh my gosh, Mba! Mba!" Hazeed became very panicked when the young woman collapsed in front of him.

"What do I do?" muttered Hazeed.

He finally got up the courage to pick her up and carry her to the Atmadja University clinic where he was studying not far ahead.

"Thankfully, the key is still there," Hazeed said as he drove the young woman's luxury sedan.

In the back seat, the woman huddled unconscious.

Arriving at the clinic, the nurses gave him strange looks.

"Nurse, please, there's someone unconscious in the car," Hazeed said, pointing at the car he was driving.

Immediately the nurses brought the young woman in on a push ward.

Hazeed was now very confused. He had no idea who she was. He just hoped that she would wake up soon.

Hazeed waited in the waiting room of the clinic. But several pairs of nurses' eyes seemed to be looking at him very strangely.

Not long after, a police patrol car arrived at the clinic.

"Where is the man?" the policeman asked the nurse in the lobby.

The two policemen in full uniform then approached Hazeed.

DEGG

Hazeed was very confused; he didn't feel that he had any problem with the police. Regarding the accident, he was supposed to be the victim here.

"Excuse me, sir, can I have a word?" one of the officers said to him.

"Sure, go ahead sir," Hazeed replied as he invited the two policemen to sit down.

"So, you're his partner? What's your full name?" said the policeman.

"I'm sorry sir, I don't understand what you mean?" asked Hazeed.

"Already, you better not be evasive anymore because all the evidence has been examined. See that over there?" said the officer as he pointed outside where four other police officers were checking the trunk of the young woman's luxury a car.

"Oh, that car belongs to her sick lady sir, not mine," Hazeed tried to explain.

"You can't be evasive, cooperating with us will help you," said the other Police officer.

"Wait sir, why do you both seem to be accusing me?" said Hazeed starting to feel accused.

"It's hard to compromise! Handcuff him! Drag him to the office for investigation!" said the police officer who had been questioning Hazeed to his colleague.
