Chapter 3 - The Lost Town

It had been two and a half hours since they started walking down the forest path.

Ace glanced at his watch, then at the travellers, as well as the NPCs.

Abigail was now dragging her feet, supporting herself with a thick branch. She bit her lower lip, still looking pale with a layer of sweat shining on her forehead, but she did not complain or rely on the others, instead she stood strong and continued to walk.

When Ace’s eyes landed on the thick branch, his eyes twitched and swept over to a young girl who was playing with another branch in her hands. In under thirty minutes, nearly all the NPCs had branches that were being used as canes. This was the work of the brunette traveller -- Corinne.

He wasn’t aware that Corinne had the strength of Hercules. When she noticed that they were tired, her went over to the trees that lined both sides of the path to retrieve the branches.
