Virgil woke up. She stretched her arms and looked around. She found out that Katherine and Daniel fell asleep. Both of them are snoring loudly. Virgil smiled while looking at them. She then stood up and did some stretching.
After several minutes, Daniel and Katherine woke up. Both of them wiped their eyes. They both yawned too.
"Are you ready to go again?" Virgil looked at them, smiling.
The two of them nodded, confidently.
Without any hint of hesitation, the three of them started moving again. They went out of the tunnel and greeted once again by the great flooded city. Outside it's still raining. Virgil tried to form the orb again. Unfortunately, she failed to maintain it again. She stomped on the ground out of frustration.
"Why can't I do it!" she yelled.
Daniel tapped Virgil's back. "Be patient. I know you'll get it to work, eventually. Just keep trying." He kept on tapping Virgil's shoulde
Virgil and Katherine woke up. They saw Daniel sitting near the serpent's head. It seems like they are having a conversation. "What do you think they're talking about?" Katherine asked. "I have no idea," Virgil replied. A few minutes later, Daniel crawled back to his original spot. He crawled carefully, making sure he won't fall. The serpent's skin feels a little bit rough despite being wet. Daniel approached Virgil and Katherine along the way. "The serpent said, we're still far away from the tunnel," said Daniel. "That's fine. As long as we can reach our destination, that's fine." Virgil gazed upon the sky. "There's no need for us to rush Daniel." Katherine smiled at Daniel. He smiled back at him. The serpent turned its head to look at them. "My apologies passengers. I hope you all can endure the
Virgil and Katherine approached Daniel. The mermaid greeted them with a smile."How are you doing?" Virgil asked."I'm fine, They gave me medicine. I guess it helped," Daniel replied."That's good!" Katherine smiled at Daniel."People her are nice especially that healer dude and this nurse." Daniel pointed at the mermaid. The mermaid smiled."That's good to know that you are enjoying their service here," said Virgil."It's surprising that there is a functioning hospital in this world." Daniel looked around, examining the room."Yes. There are lots of treatment facilities here. They are designed to give a little comfort to sick souls." Virgil explained."It just doesn't make sense." Daniel pinched his chin."I am a little bit confused too," said Katherine "It doesn't make sense to me that a world designed for punishments and suffering has a place that offers comf
Daniel, Virgil and Katherine navigated their way out of the tunnel. The tunnel is not a straight path. They are practically going in circles. They are having difficulties in looking for the way out. They moved their gas lamps around, only to find out that they keep going back on the same places.Virgil grunted. "Curse this tunnel!" She stomped her foot on the ground."Relax! I know we'll find our way out of here, eventually," said Katherine."It's been forever! We're practically going in circles" Daniel complained."Complaining won't help. We must keep moving. We must memorize every turns we make." Katherine moved her gas lamp around. She then picked up a piece of stone and rubbed it on the wall, leaving a mark
The three of them walked around, ignoring everyone. People around them are all feasting over jugs of wine and chunks of meat. They are all having a good time. They are singing unfamiliar tunes while dancing around the campfire. The three of them sat on a corner watching the people. "This is tedious" Virgil lets out a deep sigh. "You're fucking right." Daniel sighed as well. "I want to leave this place," said Katherine. "Aren't we all?" Daniel lets out another deep sigh. "We'll wait for a right timing then we'll get out of here." Virgil scratched her chin. "God I hate my life," Daniel complained. The three of them went silent. They just sat in their spot, watching people enjoy themselves. Daniel looked around. He saw the chieftain conversing with other people. They are laughing while drinking liquor. Daniel kept his eye on the man. He observed his actions, carefully. The chieftain seems
"What do you mean no one's leaving?" Virgil asked. "No one's leaving until the end of the festival. That's what I meant!" the chieftain replied. Virgil lets out a sigh of relief. "Thank goodness," she said. "Excuse me sir." Daniel raised his hands. "What do you usually do during the festival?" he asked. "We eat a lot, we gather our harvests, we danced around and have fun," the chieftain replied. "But most importantly we held a seasonal game event." He clenched his fist and raised his hand into the air. He looked at Daniel and smiled. "Sounds amusing." Daniel smiled awkwardly. "After the festival, you'll let us leave right?" Virgil asked. "We'll see about that." The chieftain smirked at Virgil. He then walked away from them. "I have a bad feeling about this," said Daniel. "Same Daniel, same." Virgil frowned. All of a sudden they heard a lou
"Why would I hand my special guests to you?" Horcus folded his arms while raising an eyebrow. "Their kinds are more suitable to live with our more civilized tribe," Azermonth replied. "Do you really think I'll allow you to steal away these people? We found them first, therefore, we own them!" said Horcus. "If you don't hand the newcomers to me, there will be bloodshed," Azermonth warned. "Looks like your tribe is not civilized at all." Horcus smirked. Daniel just watched the tribe leaders while they are arguing. Virgil and Katherine observed them as well. They kept debating over who should keep the three newcomers. Daniel poked Virgil's shoulder.&nb
Virgil visited a house in the middle of nowhere. The house is round in shape and it is made out of solid rock. In its side there is a round window that is wide open. Virgil leaped on it, entering the house. She sniffed the floor trying to search for the source of a familiar scent. She stumbled upon the foot of a man. She looked up only to find out that the man has three heads of a Rottweiler dog. The man scowled at her, growling. Virgil looked up. "Hi Brother!" She showed him a nervous smile. The man with three heads of a dog picked her up. He is scowling at her while growling. All of a sudden one of his head licked Virgil's furry face. The man's name is Serbrus. "Virgil! How are you doing?" Serbrus asked, cheerfully. "I'm doing great Serbrus! Thank you!" Virgil smiled at the man. "What in the hell are you doing here? Aren't you suppose to be with Alcharon at the shore?" The mouth of the creature
The three of them bid farewell to Serbrus. They thanked him for helping them get out of their tough situation. They entered the tunnel that will lead them to their next destination. They found the tunnel at a forest, below a cliff that lies at the edge of it. All of them looked at each other, took a deep breath, then they all entered the dark and quiet tunnel. The tunnel they are currently trailing has a warmer atmosphere. Sweat started trickling down their skins. The hot breeze of air makes it difficult for them to even breath."Why is it so hot in here?" Daniel wiped away the sweat that is trickling down from his forehead."I'm already soaked in sweat!" Katherine complained. The fabric of her clothes are starting to stick to her skin. Random wet marks are starting to appear in the area of her tops that lies over her
