But this was wrong, Emily wasn’t teleported anywhere, what she didn’t know was that she was currently in her consciousness.
“Emily, Emily,” she heard the voice again.
Immediately, she spun around, but it was just the trees and the birds, where was this voice calling from? She asked herself.
“Emily, Emily,” she heard it again.
Quickly she spun around again but there was nothing, this time, she was enveloped in fear, sweating and shivering slightly.
Gathering up her courage, ”who are you? why do you keep calling me? show yourself,” she called out to the void, expecting an answer.
Unfortunately for her, she got no reply, everywhere was just too silent.
“Emily, Emily, you can’t run away from your destiny, you’ll have to face me someday, you know,” the voice called out again.
This time, Emily heard the voice right behind her, it was so close that she could feel the hot breath of breathing of the voice in her neck which made her shiver, slowly she turned around only to find it was empty.
Seeing this, she became horrified, she clearly could feel the hot breath of the voice a moment ago, but now there was no one there, was she hallucinating? Where in hell was she?
“Save us! Save us!” a scream suddenly priced into Emily’s ear, immediately she took to her heels and started running, but where was she running to?
Emily continued running for about a minute before she stopped, squatting with her head down and panting heavily, it was as if she had just run a fifty meters race, the chirping of birds brought her to her senses, immediately she raised her head and looked at her surroundings which made her gasp in horror, she realized she had not moved an inch from her position, she was stuck on a spot despite all the ruining she just ran, where in hell was she? everything here was just too strange, from the strange voice to the red moon, and the scream.
She was worried that her friends would be looking for her, she had no idea how to leave this damm place, she was stuck on a spot, not allowed to move an inch, all she could think of right now was how to leave this place.
“Emily, have you ever asked yourself who you are, do you think you are just a human, do you think your path is the same as them, you have greater things to achieve, your destiny is greater than you could think of, you are a savior, a catastrophe, you are just who you think you are.”
Emily heard the voice once again, but strangely enough, this time, it was more of an echo, as it resounded in the whole place, even the birds became stiff, stopping their chipping, and silence descended onto the whole place.
Suddenly something jerked Emily hard, her surroundings started spinning, and her eyes and head also were spinning until she felt nauseated, she had no choice but to close her eyes wishing for all this to stop.
“Emily, Emily,” she heard a familiar voice calling out to her, which made her open her closed eyes.
Immediately she opened her eyes, she found herself back at home right where she was sitting before being teleported, where had she just been? What were all those voices calling out to her? How did she exit the place? It was as if her eyes were playing tricks on her, had she gone insane? She muttered to herself.
“Emily, what the hell is happening, why are you keeping us in suspense?” a voice boomed in her ear making her recover from her dazed state.
It was then she noticed that everyone had gone, leaving herself, her friends and brother, the party had already ended, but she had not spent more than five minutes in the place she was, how come it looked like it was over an hour already.
“Emily, tell us, what’s wrong with you,” Anne shook Emily hard asking her when she that Emily was still in a daze and did not reply, they were dead worried about her.
It was then Emily fully recovered, “nothing's wro..wrong,” she shuttered.
“How in hell could you say nothing is wrong, you’ve been sitting unmoving for over the past two hours, and we’ve been calling your name, we shook you hard did all kinds of things to you, but you didn’t budge,” James yelled in annoyance.
It was then it dawned on Emily what happened, she had never left where she was, but how had she gotten there, what was the strange voice that kept calling out to her? saying her destiny was a great one, saying she was a savior and also a catastrophe, she badly wanted an answer, but who would answer her questions?
“It was all just a prank to scare you guys,” Emily lied, though she knew she was very bad at lying she still gave a shot at it, she couldn’t tell them the truth, if she told them, would they believe what she would say, they would think she’s insane.
“Are you lying?” Natasha asked with a raised eyebrow, she knew Emily well, so she could tell whenever she was lying.
Emily knew she was about to be caught, composing herself, she replied, “I'm serious, it was just a prank.”
Natasha furrowed her eyebrow, she was still not convinced, she could tell that Emily was trying to hide something from them, but she didn’t press further, before nodding in agreement with the others.
“It’s already late for us to return home,” James said breaking the awkward silence, since Emily told them she was playing a prank, there had been an awkward silence between them.
“You guys can spend the night here, go choose a room for yourself, am tired,” Emily replied, standing up from where she was sitting, and going straight to her room.
Seeing Emily standing up, the others also stood up bidding themselves goodnight.
An hour later, Emily was still tossing and turning on the bed, she had not been able to sleep despite being tired, the incident was still clear in her mind, and lots of questions were flowing in her head, but she could find answers to none of them, she hoped that it was all a dream as she wouldn't be able to handle it, she wished that with tomorrow all her problems would disappear.
------------------
In a place far away from Emily's home far from earth, where there was no house, modern roads, or cars, there was also no source of light, the air was chilly, and it would send a shiver down the spine of anyone who was here cause of the ominous auras constantly lingering in the air, this place was not a forest, it was well cleared, more of a settlement, as some huts could be seen in the distance.
Sometimes, figures of different sizes would pass by at inhumane speed, the sizes of some of these creatures would make a human shiver in fear, these were no ordinary figures, they were either werewolves or vampires, this place was not the earth, but another world called the supernatural realm, the home to supernatural creatures, ranging from werewolves, vampires, hellhounds, demons, witches and many other creatures with supernatural ability.
There were seven regions in the supernatural realm, the western region, the southern region, the northern region, the eastern region, the death region, the cloud region, and the central region.
These regions are governed by an advisor, these advisors all serve under the lord of the supernatural realm, “the demon wolf” "Nick", a tyrannical and fearsome ruler, each of the advisors of the seven regions of the supernatural realm was from a different clan, but none of them were from the werewolf clan, the demon wolf had a feud with the werewolf clan, cause of a prophecy read by the high witch Lucy, a thousand years ago, “that with the appearance of the hell wolf, his regime, the demon wolf regime would end and the regime of the hell wolf would begin,” since then, Nick had almost wiped all of the werewolves out of fear and frustration, the surviving ones were constantly under his surveillance and were not allowed to move freely in the supernatural realm.
In the western region of the supernatural realm, there stood a magnificent castle, this was where Nick lived, some torches lit up the entire castle, inside the castle, in the throne room, on a magnificent throne made with gold and diamonds, the light radiating from the throne was enough to light up the entire room, on it sat the demon wolf, lord of the realm, he was not a heinous looking creature like most would look, he was but a young man with a well-chiseled face, big blue eyes, hair as white as snow, a scar on his left eyebrow, a smile on the corner of his lips which made him look handsome, he had lived for over a thousand years, and that made him have a calm demeanor, making it hard to know what he’s thinking.
Before him were seven chairs, seated his seven advisors each having grim expressions, there was silence in the air as all were contemplating what to do.
“My lord what should we do now that the head witch has confirmed the hell wolf in the human realm?” a chubby looking man, he had an oval face, black hair, and brown eyes, amongst the seven finally up, this was Darren, a hellhound, lord of the Death region, and also the third advisor, he was also the most impatient one amongst them.
Nick looked up from his throne the moment Darren said this, glancing at his nervous advisors, he laughed uproariously, anytime the hell wolf was mentioned, his advisors were always thrown in panic, although he too was a little nervous, he wasn’t worried at all, “summon the harbingers,” he suddenly ordered.
Immediately after he said that all his advisors gasped in shock, “the harbingers?” they muttered, they knew who they were and how terrifying they were.
The harbingers consisted of only three people, two males and a female, they were part of Nick’s numerous armies in the supernatural realm, they had once annihilated an entire race of a particular vampire clan consisting of more than a thousand vampires single-handedly, they were devils in human clothing.
”My lord why do you want to use the harbingers, you know how dangerous they could be,” Darren spoke up again.
Nick's mouth curled into a smirk, the hell wolf is in the human realm right?” he asked no one in particular, “the host of the hell wolf should still be a weakling, am sending the harbingers to kill the host of the hell wolf before he or she could get strong, I don’t care how they’ll do it, but they should be able to that, also am sending them cause should any unforeseen circumstance happen they should be able to handle them, am also planning to overtake the human race, they are too pathetic,” Nick explained.
All of them nodded in agreement to Nick’s explanation, even if they didn’t agree, they couldn’t oppose his judgment as everything he says is final.
Soon three figures clad in black appeared before Nick bowing down in respect to him, these were the harbingers, they had an ominous aura surrounding them that made everyone near want to subconsciously stay away from them, their entire being was covered with the black cloth they wore that their faces could not be seen.
Nick looked at the figures in front of him, nodding in satisfaction he said, “You three are to head to the human realm, look for the hell wolf with any means and kill its host, then bring back its head to me,” he commanded.
The trio nodded in respect as their eyes flashed with a glimmer of light, it had been long since they were sent on a challenging mission, and they must do their best not to disappoint their lord.
“Lucy, you open a portal to the human realm and send the harbingers there,” Nick turned to his right side speaking to a rather empty seat.
Immediately he spoke, a beautiful figure clad in white, with long hair reaching the waist, appeared on the seat, her eyebrows were so dark that they stood out amongst her features, and she had blue eyes which made one feel at ease once they looked into it, her face was oval and looked so delicate that one would fall in love with it, the face looked young that one would think it she was a teenager, but she had lived for more than a hundred years, her entire body was covered in the white cloth she wore so her figure was not visible, this was the head witch Lucy who’s in charge of the cloud region of the supernatural realm.
“Yes my lord,” Lucy replied with respect in her eyes, immediately after she said that she became invisible once again.
“You all go back to your respective regions, Lucy don’t forget to send the harbingers to the human realm,” Nick said as he waved his hands disappearing from where he was sitting.
----------
At the same time in the supernatural realm, in the surviving wolf clan, inside a very large room, sat a figure deep in thought, sounds of footsteps steps woke the figure up from his thoughts, looking up he saw three figures entering the room, instantly he smiled, the three figures bowed down before figure sitting down on the chair, the figure was the head of the wolf clan, amongst the figure bowing down was the son of the head of the wolf clan, the best friend of the son of the wolf clan and the last was a female who was a witch.
A small part of the witches' clan had allied themselves with the wolf clan since the extermination of the wolf clan.
“The hell wolf, our savior is currently in the human realm, your mission is to bring the destined person back to the supernatural realm safely at all cost,” the figure spoke up.
“But dad, won't the demon wolf know that we open a portal and send his army after us,” a figure amongst the three spoke up.
This was Jason, son of the head of the wolf clan, he had brown hair, a muscular body, he had green eyes, and perfect eyebrows connecting, all these features made him look very handsome.
“Don’t worry about that,” the figure replied smiling, "anyway go get ready," the figure did waving his hands dismissing them.
There had been an unspoken rule in the supernatural realm about opening portals to other realms, once, a clan opened a portal and tried to flee, the demon wolf had ordered their annihilation, since then no clan tried to open a portal without the demon wolf consent, but this night was different since Lucy would be opening a portal, there would be energy ripples of opening a portal, so the wolf clan planned to take advantage of it. It was unknown how they got the information.
In the cloud region of the supernatural realm, this place wasn't just called the cloud region, the place was covered in cloud and almost impossible for anyone to enter as they please, only a very strong person would be able to pass through the cloud without losing the sense of direction. In the cloud region, there was a magnificent building in the center of the city, in front of the building sat Lucy. She was sitting cross-legged inside a circle with twelve lit candles around the circle, the wind blew gently swaying the fire on the candles.Behind Lucy, stood three motionless figures clad in black, it was as if they were not there cause they blended well with the surroundings."Once I open the portal, you should go right in, it would take you to the human realm," Lucy said in a rather cold voice. The figures nodded in understanding, Lucy closed her eyes as she started chanting inaudible words, the circle suddenly lit up and the candles became brighter, with her continuous chanting, th
The day was was eventful for Emily as she went out with her friends to a lot of places, none of them talked about the incident, which made her feel relieved a lot cause she didn't have any explanation for it if they asked.Soon it was nighttime as the day ended, bidding her friends' goodbye Emily went home in high spirits. That night, Emily lay on the bed tossing and turning, she was very tired but she couldn't sleep, she felt as if a pair of eyes were staring at her from the dark watching her closely which send a shiver down her spine and made her very uncomfortable.---In the woods, inside the mansion, Rachel was still where she sat chanting, the strange phenomenon happening around her was still happening, she had been in this state for a whole day which made her feel drained, but during the period, information about the realm they were had been pouring into her head gently like a flowing stream, she used her spiritual sense to search for the hell wolf, all she could sense was that
This was the second time she was here. The first was at the party and now in the class. "Welcome!," A voice boomed, scaring the hell out of Emily as she looked around the place. Just like before, it was just the blood red moon hanging low, and the trees, then birds chirping happily seemingly not to have noticed her presence. Emily looked around, surveying her surroundings. She was unsure if she should take the first step, after all, she didn't know how dangerous this place was but she had to find out where she was. Gritting her teeth, Emily slowly took a step. She was afraid she would be stuck in a spot just like the first time. Even though the strange voice she heard scared the daylight out of her, she could sense there was no malice in the voice and thus was confident that nothing would happen to her. Stabilizing her trembling body and breathing, Emily inhaled heavily as she took the next step. Soon Emily was moving slowly amongst the trees, walking slowly and making sure she
(A MONTH LATER)It had been a month since Rachel and the two boys entered Emily's school and became friends with Emily and her friends.Even though Rachel didn't stop her search for the hell wolf, she was unable to find the destined person. All she knew was she was near the hell wolf, but she knew not who the host was and why the person was able to hide so perfectly. Also during a month, they had gotten close significantly Emily and her friends would hang out sometimes together. The Harbingers whom the Demon Wolf had sent to the human realm were also unable to find the hell wolf. They had tried all sorts of methods but they weren't able to get the host to leave them in despair. They couldn't disappoint their lord as the time limit was getting closer and closer.A strong wind blew in the woods swaying all the trees. The night was silent and there was no moon in the sky.Even the stars hid behind the clouds as if something would happen if they stayed any longer. The night was chilly and
"I don't think it's a good idea," Rachel sighed as she looked at the four who were staring at her."I agree, it's pretty dangerous for you guys to head there," Damien chipped in."Why do you think it's a bad idea?" Emily frowned as she stared at Rachel. She felt something was off but couldn't pinpoint what it was. Even though it was only her instinct she still felt that the three were hiding something from them.Perhaps they knew something about the Killings.Rachel sighed in defeat when she saw Emily's gaze. Amongst the four gazes, it was only Emily's gaze that made her feel uncomfortable. It was as if she was unable to hide anything in front of Emily. Even though it was only an intuition Rachel dared not to be careless.Rachel shrugged her shoulders as she decided not to say anything because she knew she would be unable to convince them not to go."I get it now," James said suddenly as he clapped his hands while glancing at Rachel and the others."You guys are unwilling to go as you
It was all their imagination, no one was there to pounce on them. The preparator of the incident had left a long time ago.Getting to the body, the four observed the skinny bodies on the floor while shivering slightly.Their hearts trembled, they had never witnessed something like this."What do you think we should do?" Emily sighed, breaking the silence, she was the first to recover. The three were drawn back to reality when they heard Emily's words. They knew they couldn't leave the bodies out in the wild, nor could they call the police, they would be implicated."I think we should go back first." James sighed.Anne and Natasha nodded in agreement and the four headed back to Emily's house.*****That night after sending her friends off, Emily was unable to sleep. Her mind kept reflecting on what she had seen. She tossed and turned trying her best to forget what she saw and heard but it was somewhat impossible. She could still hear the screams piercing into her ears. The screams were
In no time Rachel's group arrived at a and stared into the distance. Not far from them was a purple vortex that was swirling and getting bigger with each second."This energy seems so familiar yet, it's strange." Rachel muttered observing the vortex. She had a premonition that something was about to happen.Soon the vortex stopped expanding and started to open up slowly."A portal!" Rachel gasped in shock. She knew where the portal was coming from as no one, but that woman was able to open a portal without receiving the approval of the demon lord.Damian and Jason's expressions were no better as they understood what was going on."What could they be planning?" Rachel muttered, looking at the portal with interest. She knew whatever the demon lord was planning to send was going to be more destructive than the harbingers, after all, he couldn't come to the human realm to solve such a small issue.Soon enough, strange creatures with two heads and arms started to emerge from the vortex. At
Turning around slowly, they were met with Emily's questioning gaze. They knew she wanted to know everything but they couldn't tell her anything at this moment. They couldn't breathe a word about it or else all their years of protection would be in vain.Even though they knew she was still going to find out about her identity, they didn't mind keeping it away from her."Baby, it's alright we're not keeping anything from you." Mrs. Clark smiled while caressing Emily's hair."Now be a good girl and go to sleep."At that moment her eye color changed and Emily couldn't resist the enchanting color and soon dozed off."Didn't you just go overboard?" Mr. Clark frowned looking at his wife."No, I didn't go overboard." Mrs. Clark smiled as they walked out of Emily's room."I think we should go ahead and eliminate them." Mr. Clark sighed."No, it's not right..." Mrs. Clark paused as she glanced at the sky through the open window. "Don't forget our vow, if we are to break it now, we'll be poking
