He knew he would be done for if he spent any more minute in that car without speeding away with vehicle blood and machine energy. But not even the smallest of distances.could he travel with this car, it just did not respond to the twerking command of the key.

"Damn it, you piece of shit!" He whispered angrily to the deaf car, striking the body of its driving wheel with a cruel blow, but that would not bring it to life.

In a fearful haste, Mark Dengerberd snuck out his eyes for a quick peep, hoping to determine the location of the man hunting him, but not a single bird could be seen anywhere. Yet he knew the fellow was surely now onto him. For all the loud noise he had made while jumping into the disappointing vehicle, there was no way his location was still secret.

And he was right.

When he returned his focus to the probably damaged vehicle, setting forth to give up all hopes on its resurrection and set focus on a new hope for an escape strategy, his long evaded nemesis soon held him

Back all the way in the crux of the special city of Caveliona, Haisley Bradbury rose up from her special bed of flowers in the usual bliss of high spirits. Her body was flawless and her skin unblemished, she shone with her flair in competition with the morning sun as she took elegant steps through the beautiful doorway. The room was lit by the red streams of the sun which took their colour from the large red curtain that they passed through, each of those sparkling rays of light flying past the half opened window in an heavenly haste to get a touch of reflection on Haisley's gracious beauty. The floor through which she walked was laced with roses all the way to the large bath tub, and even around the large steamy thing was a large garland of roses. Beside the tub stood two young girls, her maids, each one looking as heavenly as the other. They both bowed their heads in fearful respect of her presence. Ignoring their courtesies, Haisley slid into the hot tub which was filled with ste

  • Herald of Vengeance   Karma

Howard Swiss stood with a firm pose before a window, staring into its fine lines with a fixed gaze shooting towards the horizon. While his eyes shone a completely different reflection, putting into view an image of a raging fire burning just outside that wall of glass, his heart surged high with delirious rage.Dan walked up behind him, he had just dropped from a call. And as he approached the king of the street from behind, everyone else in the building could tell that he did not come with any good news."The girls looted every bit of the money. They stormed into the streets and made a run for it, carting away with weapons, golds and cash".As Dan stated to Howard Swiss the result of their recent backstabbing, the king of the street remained rooted in that spot. Not moving a finger, nor flinching a hair."And Dengerberd?" He finally asked, breathing out hot air in the process."Gone. Both him and Molina. They escaped in one of the cars of the den". Dan added another slice of salt to

Struck by the collapsing walls of a building, blown into the ground by such a massive explosion, and rendered half paralyzed and pinned into the earth, Hermes had thought that asides death, nothing more could strike him with a stronger force on this day. But it turned out that there was indeed something, and that Howard Swiss knew just the thing."Yes, boy. Your mother used to date the father of your enemy, Adam Bradbury. The wealthiest man on this day. They were the talk of the entire place, showing off their flirt skills with every single chance that they got"."No... You are lying..." Hermes could not believe any single word more that uttered away from that tongue of his. They all sounded like fried fables, a collection of falsehood, cooked and prepared by the chef filled hands of Swiss. For all it seemed, he was more than just a cook of eaten foods, but those lies of his were not edible."I know you know that it is true. Deep in your heart, you do. Every man your age grew up to ad

"I will count to three, and after that all you can be able to save will be his precious blood as it dries into the sand." Swiss threatened, presumably for the last time ever, sending a stare into Jack dean's eyes.Dan had the gun placed firmly at the boy's head, and Hermes had his head dropped in misery, entirelu5 unsure of what he should choose to do next."Three".The counting had started, and Swiss took his time with pleasure. "I do not know!" Jack repeated the very same words once again, and once again they did him no good nor his son. Their captors were in their most angry state at that moment, especially after what Mark Dengerberd had done to them and they were not eager to give any benefit of doubt nor any reason to his claims."Two".Swiss's voice came again, for the second time. Jack Dean punched the dust upon which he was put in paralysis, but that could do nothing to save his boy.Hermes watched as Tracie smiled with displaced lips, pushing her mouth to a side of her face.

"We already have you what you asked for? Why are you doing this?"Jack could not take it a bit more. Even with the glistening edge of the knife by his throat, he still struggled with his captor, putting his life on the line without much care for the damage.Swiss whistled again. He already told them the truth, his aim was fully bent on the treasure which lay far away in an unknown abode, hidden by his sister and placed in the farthest depths of darkness. It was the only reason he was doing all this, and Hermes knew at this point that he would do anything to have what he desired. The rings were only the key to the door or crypt or chest or whatever it was in which the treasure was kept, but without any knowledge of the location of those massive fortunes, the rings were only useless."Your wife has been quite a shadow to the long stretches of our eyes, surprisingly". Swiss said that either in praise or in suprise of Rachel's evasive ability. No one really thought she could be able to e

He slammed his teacup into the table, risking the spill of its contents away and over the neatly set table. Luckily, the scentful fluid would only doddle within the ceramic mug, threatening to bestow onto the furniture a piece of itself but never really fulfilling the promise."What did I say?" Sniff was not in the best of moods. His breathe was marked with anger, and the scribbles of displeasure was boldly spread across his face."He said he has my son! And my husband!" Rachel yelled back into his face, also unpleased that Sniff would end the call while her family was still at the caller's mercy."I heard it, didn't I?" The detevive replied with his voice hitting a low.But Rachel's was just about to pick a new climax. "Then what did you do, you did not even flinch!""We had our plan made out already, but you destroyed it by bursting in on that call"."Plan? We had a plan? That was definitely when I had no idea where my loved ones are. Now I know, and I won't let anything happen to t

"Who do you think she will save first?" Swiss asked, looking around at everyone in the room. "Is it you, dear nephew? No way, there is no way she is picking you over blood and bound."He made a face at Hermes who was now at the faintest point of his consciousness. The pain he felt, stuck in that mess was something that he had never felt in a long time. He surely had no business paying interest to Swiss's questions. All he could do was think of a way out from the trap. The king of the street faced his own man, Dan. "Do you have any idea?"It did not seem that Dan was willing to exchange in a conversation, and neither did Tracie. While one looked like he was having a change of heart to the mission at hand, the latter looked very eager to inflict more pain on her victims. With her tongue constantly in clicks and her lips in bites from her teeth, Tracie just was not having enough.Swiss faced Jack Dean this time to put forward the same question. But the journalist spat in his hopes, sayin

  • Herald of Vengeance   Andrew Henshaw

No sign of his mother until now, neither did he have a full grasp of the truth which he had been searching for all this long while. Back when he was in the cells, when he was still a student in this world of greed and crimes, when his own grandfather was his only teacher.Andre had said a few suspicious things back then, but H

Lyanna was lying on her bed, slowly recovering from the old wounds."The doctor says you will be free to go in a few days."Beside her bed was Andrew Henshaw, comforting her to a good discharge. He had always been there for her in the absence of her father, more than her brother could ever even if he tried.Lyanna smiled back at him. He was such an angel, she thought."Andrew..." She muttered, craving his attention. "What is it..." He responded as soon as he lifted his head, seeing the look of displease spread across the lines of her face."I am sorry for what happened to your father..." She had always wanted to say that since the moment she discovered that her father and his friend were really the ones who had taken Henshaw's life back then. "I am sorry for everything my father did to your family..."He put a finger on her lips. "That is gone now. We are now here together. Friends. Together. Forever."His smile was enough to convince her to be happy. He was the best thing she had k

We will find him, and we will recover your money." Diego assured, still trying to calm down the anger of Bradbury.Adam Bradbury sat at a far corner of the living room. He was still in shock and horror over what happened the night before. The knife placed on his throat, threatening to slash through. He could feel the red sores which developed along the lines of his neck. Also in shock was Adam's mother, Stella Bradbury. Across the Sea, Behind the Cells

"Where are you Andre, we are about to move". Guerrero said through the phone.Andre was just a few minutes left to the spot where they had agreed to meet. It was a seaside location, where illegal boats would usually set sail. Then the boat would travel a far distance up to the middle of the sea where a bigger ship would be waiting.Along with the passengers of the other smaller boats which had come from different part of the cities just for the same purpose of transmitting people in secret, the people in the boat would be drafted into the bigger ship and the boats would return to the seaside. This was also done at other parts of the world, in other countries. Each boat would know the right time to leave the seaside in order to meet the ship at the predetermined location, and Guerrero did not want to miss that time.Andre and his daughter were not the only person who were trying to leave Twillightoria. There were other people too, and unlike Andre who simply just asked for a favour, th

"Welcome, my friend! It is really pleasure to see your old face once more. Is this your beautiful daughter? May I say she looks just like her mother? Too much, I tell you. Too much."Guerrero welcomed Andre with smiles and hugs. He seemed really glad to have the honour of saving Andre and helping him out of the country."Everything is set, my friend. The boat is ready, the sailors are waiting. All that remains is for you to step into the boat and set sail to freedom."Andre understood his words well, but he was no longer anxious to leave at this point."Diego and my son are still behind. We need to rescue them first, only then can I go anywhere."Guerrero frowned. "That does not make any sense, Andre. Diego knew what he was walking into when he decided to help you in your foolish mission. I am sure he wants you to leave now that you can, you do not want to get caught too. Now that would be too much a loss for anyone of us to bear. And your son? I heard news about your son. He seems to

Richard Dengerberd said, holding a recording device up to his face, displaying it before Andre and kids present.Richard Dengerbard had been in there all along, waiting fkr Andre to come for his daughter. Andre thought he had died the other day with Minister Henshaw, but apparently he survived. He must have gotten to know of Andre's connection with the other day when Andre first visited the hospital. Then he was surely the one behind the police arrival. He was the one who informed the world of his existence and ruled out Scorpio's name as the one behind Henshaw's death. He had intentionally moved unconscious Lyanna into this VVIP room to serve as a bait for Andre. He had intentionally made himself her roommate, and he had recorded all the conversation between Andre, Howard and Andrew Henshaw."You must have thought that you escaped the law when you killed

There was no more tricks to devise. He was now surrounded by the security men who came closer to know if there was a problem."What is the issue here?" One said."Nothing is wrong agent," Andre assured. "We are just having a little discussion, right?"The look on the agent's face drifted from a neutral perspective into an alarmed expression as sudden as a lightening would strike during a storm."Get your hands in the air!!" Andre alone against the rest of them. But he had no chance in that open place. When the guns started firing, he could barely put up a fight as he placed a dead agent in the way of the bullets. The door of the section was right there, the agents standing right before it as the agents were now focused on him. The best way to do this is by a using one man to take out the children quietly.""They are trapped in that hospital because someone knows about us. Someone knows about you. Whoever it is, they are surely waiting for you to come. Even if we must do this, it does not have to be you." Diego expressed his concern fully. On normal days, Diego was not the kind of person who spoke with full words or who cared about other people's safety apart from his own true family. But his relationship with Andre was growing past the borders of partnership and once again looking like brothers, just like they were when they were younger. And just like their daughters were now."I will go." Diego volunteered,
