"This has nothing to do with him", she said, trying to wave away the influence of her mistake.

"You mean the name you just mentioned? I could say it has pulled some strings." Sniff turned to Rachel. "Mrs Dean, is that name something you have heard of before? Someone you know who might really actually be connected to this case? Do you know this person?"

Rachel thought for a while. She did not want to involve Hermes in all of this, because he was the only person that she could trust. Even more than the police. Mentioning his name this early might put the safety of her husband and son in jeopardy.

"Do you know this person?" Sniff's cranky voice called at her again, eager for a reply.

"No, detective." She said, with a swallow of her voice.

"Then why did you seem intrigued to hear that name initially?"

"I may have heard my husband mention the name once or twice before. But I have no physical knowledge of this person".

"Hmmm..." The detective pulled his long hairy beard in a bid to ruminate
