Ch.4 - Helping the Slaves

As Xiang Chen stepped into the building, he saw something that made him angry.

Inside the room were many fiercely built men, laughing loudly while drinking wine. The atmosphere of the room looks very chaotic.

But that wasn’t what angered Xiang Chen but rather what the bastards amused.

They make the human body as entertainment material, tie it to the wall and then throw knives.

The man who was tied to the wall had been stabbed with many knives, blood pouring down his naked body. It was a terrifying sight for people who were seeing something heinous like this for the first time.

The man’s breath was already very weak, with such a severe wound, Xiang Chen knew he would not be able to pin him down.

“Hah! So weak, just a dozen knives and he’s dead! Replace with a new one!” A burly man shouted.

Some people untied the lifeless man and took him away. Moments later, a naked woman was brought up roughly.

The woman’s hands and feet were tied, preventing her from moving freely. The woman tried to free herself, but in vain. What could a weak woman like her do against the power of a cultivator? Of course not.

The woman’s scream actually made everyone there laugh amusedly.

“Hey hey! The woman’s body was still good, it was too wasteful to make her a target for throwing knives. How about enjoying her body first?”

The woman’s face immediately went pale, her body went limp and seemed to have stopped fighting. He had resigned himself to the end of his life.

Xiang Chen who was originally continuing to walk following the line, suddenly stopped making the man who was escorting behind bump into his back.

“Hey! Don’t stop suddenly like...” the man paused when he saw Xiang Chen’s cold gaze fixed on the men who made people’s bodies as targets for throwing knives.

“Alright, I was originally just thinking of at least letting the few of you go. But after seeing this, I couldn’t take it anymore!”

The killing aura that was so strong instantly seeped out from Xiang Chen’s body. He had killed countless demons, and even killed many humans.

So her killing aura could suppress dozens of men in the room.

Xiang Chen has such good control over the energy and aura in his body, that his killing aura can only be felt by the people he targets.

Everyone that Xiang Chen had targeted in the room fell to the ground. Some were still kneeling, some had been stretched out onto their stomachs, some had even fainted.

“You guys are only at the level of Knight level 5 at most, you won’t be able to withstand my killing aura!” Xiang Chen strengthened the killing aura he was giving off.

“My killing aura is very special. Unlike other people who can only use killing aura to mentally suppress opponents, my killing aura can drive one crazy to the point of destroying your bodies from the inside.”

Along with Xiang Chen’s words, they all vomited out a lot of blood, a small crater formed under them because Xiang Chen’s aura pressure was too strong.

In the end all the men in there died instantly. Among the slave hunters, only one survivor was the man behind him.

“In order for this matter to finish faster, how about you answer all my questions!”

The man knew that those words were not a question but an order. He would be killed on the spot if he refused or denied the young man’s words.

“B-brother Chen..” Chu Yan trembled looking at Xiang Chen.

The kind, innocent and stupid young man he knew turned out to have a scary side.

Remembering Xiang Chen had previously said that he could easily kill all the slave hunters, now he fully believed it because all the slave hunters in this room had died, leaving only one person in front of Xiang Chen.

Chu Yan could only stand trembling with the slaves in the same group as him.

“Brother Chu Yan, don’t be afraid, I don’t have any bad intentions at all. Now better gather all the slaves in this room. Don’t worry, I’ll save you all.”

Chu Yan quickly nodded then helped everyone to gather in one place.

There are dozens of slaves here, and they have gathered.

Xiang Chen pressed his palms on the floor. Instantly a large magic circle was created, forming a barrier that covered the entire inside of the wall.

His killing aura just now came out extremely strong, these cultivators in this branch residence of the Liu Family would definitely detect it and instantly send over a large number of people.

Xiang Chen didn’t want any distractions for now so he wasn’t going to let anyone in.

“If you want to live, answer all my questions! Is there a secret room here to keep slaves in?”

“Y-yes sir, there is a dungeon in this building. If… you want to go there, I can accompany you.”

The man also led Xiang Chen to the room where the other slaves were locked up.

In the basement there is a straight passage, on the left and right there are iron bars that confine 3 to 7 people.

Their ages vary, some are still children, some are old. Men and women are not distinguished, they are locked up in the same place.

Their condition is very apprehensive. Even though Xiang Chen had seen this kind of thing many times, he always got angry when he saw it.

The man himself was still shaking, he saw the people who were in charge of guarding the slaves also died miserably.

“Creepy, will I still be allowed to live? No wonder this young man was so calm before, he’s actually a very strong cultivator,” the man only dared to mutter in his heart, “his killing aura just now was extremely strong. Is he from an evil sect? But why does he want to free the slaves.”

The man had no intention of thinking about it any further. He also didn’t dare to ask, afraid that his fate would be the same as his comrades.

Xiang Chen stood in front of one of the holding cells, saw several people inside staring at him in fear.

Xiang Chen opens the holding cell and walks in. He put on a warm smile so they wouldn’t be scared.

“Don’t worry, I came to save you,” Xiang Chen took out some buns, “you are hungry right? Eat this.”

Seeing the buns, their expressions brightened. They want it but hesitate to take it.

“Take it, it will be a waste if you don’t eat it.” Xiang Chen said in a soothing soft voice.

They finally took the bread Xiang Chen gave them and ate it voraciously.

They all look happy. They are rarely given food. Once given, what they get is food that is not fit for human consumption.

Now they eat a piece of bread. Even though it was plain bread it tasted like food in an expensive restaurant.
