Susan woke up the next morning and saw her daughter all dressed for work. She stood up from her bed and went closer to her and held her by her shoulder.

"Are you sure you are okay?" She asked her. She knew she was trying to be strong inside. Anyone who received this kind of news would be broken for sure.

"I'm so frustrated mother. It seems nothing is working out for me. Am I cursed?" Scarlet asked. She was frustrated to the core and felt life draining out of her.

"You are not, my dear. It is a phase and you will pass it. Are you sure you can go to work today?"

"I have to. I'm supposed to resume today. And I will tell Eric about the debit alert". She said as she carried her bag and hung it around her shoulder, sluggishly.

"He would do nothing to it".

"I know. But I will inform him to know. He has the right to know what happened with the money he gave us". She was right after all. Eric should know what happened.

"Have you eaten?"

"Yes, I prepared something for you in the kitchen"
