Whitman drove into Star City hotel parking lot. He had questions but decided to keep it to himself. Earlier, he heard the conversation Caroline was having, and it appeared she was going to meet her stepmother.

But why not meet her at home? Why bring her to a hotel instead? Whitman was puzzled. He also knew her mother was someone shady but didn't say anything, so it wouldn't appear like he was aiming to tarnish her image.

“Thank you. I will go in now.” Caroline thanked him before hopping down. Then she walked into the hotel. As the name implies, it was a place of high standard, and booking a reservation here couldn't be done by just anyone but rich people.

Caroline stared in awe but was also stunned that her mom would bring her here for a meeting.

“Please, I am looking for Rachel Samson. She booked a reservation here.” Caroline said to the receptionist.

“Right. Miss Rachel asked me to personally welcome you. You can go to the top floor, room 5.” the receptionist smiled.
