Arkanza stood in front of his father’s office door, hesitating before knocking. He knew this meeting wouldn’t be just an ordinary conversation. Adam Smith never called him just to chat casually.

He took a deep breath and exhaled slowly before finally knocking on the solid wooden door.

"Come in."

His father's baritone voice sounded firm, as always. Arkanza opened the door and stepped inside. The room was just as he remembered—walls lined with bookshelves filled with documents and business books, a large desk with a dim yellow desk lamp, and the distinct scent of wood and tobacco lingering in the air.

Adam sat behind his desk, but this time, there were no documents in his hands. He simply stared at Arkanza with an unreadable expression.

"Sit."

Arkanza complied, taking a seat across from Adam, trying to keep his expression neutral.

"It's been a long time since we've talked," Adam said, his voice softer than Arkanza expected.

Arkanza raised an eyebrow. This was strange. Si
