Mistaken Identity on the Seashore

The afternoon sky was clear, not a cloud in sight. The sun shone brightly, casting its golden rays over the sparkling ocean waves. The rhythmic sound of crashing waves echoed across the shoreline, blending with the cries of seagulls circling in the vast blue sky. It was a perfect day at the beach—a picturesque scene for the Smith family's vacation.

Yet amidst all this beauty, Norman Smith's mood remained sour. Frustration lingered from the morning, fueled by his annoyance at Arkanza, his aloof stepbrother. Arkanza’s cold demeanor and distant nature irritated Norman to no end. Today, Norman had decided he’d had enough.

While Arkanza was in the upstairs bathroom, Norman seized the opportunity. Sneaking into Arkanza’s room, Norman’s eyes landed on a dark jacket hanging lazily over a chair by the window. There was something odd about the jacket—it bore a faint, mysterious emblem on the inside lining—but Norman paid it no mind.

“Perfect,” Norman mu

Beside him, Milan and Vikram sat with serious expressions, not uttering a single word. Only the hum of the car engine broke the stillness.“Mr. Norman,” Milan finally broke the silence, his voice cutting through the oppressive atmosphere. “You need to remember one thing—what you saw earlier... never speak of it to anyone.”Norman turned his head, his eyes still filled with confusion and disbelief. What he had witnessed was unimaginable. Even now, his mind struggled to process the reality of being caught in such a situation. Yet, as he observed the grave expressions on Milan and Vikram's faces, he knew this was not the time to ask questions.“What do you mean?” Norman asked softly, his voice trembling slightly. “Why... why must I keep this a secret? Arkanza realized there was some truth in their words, but he still felt there was something deeper, something more hidden. "You still haven’t answered my question," he said calmly, though his tone was full of tension. "Why? Why do you feel the need to capture me? What are you afraid of?"One of the men pulled out a gun from inside his jacket, pointing it at Arkanza. "We’re afraid you’ll destroy everything we’ve built," he replied. "We can’t let you keep walking free. You know things that could ruin all of us, Lev Bodgan. And we won’t let that happen."Hearing this, Arkanza smirked slightly, showing no fear. "Destroy you? Stop boasting." He began walking slowly toward them. "What you’re saying is nonsense. I don’t even understand what any of this is about!"The big man raised his hand, signaling his men to get ready. The morning sunlight gradually seeped through the gaps in Norman's bedroom curtains. He slowly opened his eyes, letting the drowsiness fade. His gaze wandered around the spacious wooden room, staring blankly at the large window overlooking the villa garden. He sat on the edge of his bed, lost in thought. Norman knew that breakfast with the family was always an awkward moment, especially since Arkanza had entered their lives. After taking a shower and changing clothes, Norman left his room and walked to the dining room. The aroma of coffee and toast wafted through the air, but it wasn’t enough to make him feel comfortable. As he entered, he saw the table already occupied by Adam Smith, his stepfather, lounging with a newspaper in hand, and Maria, his mother, pouring tea for Amber. Amber, his stepsister, sat with her usual sour expression, busy with her phone.“Good morning,” Norman greeted flatly.Maria turned and gave him a warm smile. “Good morning, dear. The bedroom door opened, and Albert entered, carrying a tray of food in his hands. On the tray were a bowl of hot soup, several pieces of toasted bread, and a glass of fresh orange juice. As always, Albert wore a warm smile."You haven’t eaten anything since this morning," he said as he placed the tray on the bedside table.Arkanza nodded, offering a small smile. "Thank you, Albert. I’ll eat later."Albert glanced around the room briefly, his eyes lingering on Arkanza’s desk, cluttered with various technological devices. However, he didn’t ask any questions. He was used to Arkanza’s reclusive habits and his preference for spending hours in front of his computers or tablet."If you need anything, just call me," Albert said before exiting the room and gently closing the door.As the door clicked shut, Arkanza let out a sigh of relief. Should I bring breakfast to your room?" he asked, a hint of concern in his tone as he noticed Arkanza’s slightly disheveled state."I'm fine," Arkanza answered, attempting to mask his unease. He sighed, stood from his chair, and added, "I'll be there shortly, so no need for breakfast in my room."Albert looked at him for a moment but refrained from saying anything. You’ve been daydreaming a lot lately.”Arkanza sighed. “Life. Sometimes it’s too complicated to understand.”Lilian gave a small smile. “Life is like that. But you don’t have to face it alone, Arkanza. Sometimes, sharing helps.”Her words sounded genuine, and for a moment, Arkanza was tempted to open up. But he knew better. He couldn’t trust Lilian completely—not yet.As days passed, Arkanza found himself talking to Lilian more often. They sat together during breaks, shared snacks, or simply chatted casually in the school garden. Lilian often talked about her life at home, about her family running a small bakery near the city center.“My parents are hard workers,” Lilian said one day. “But they always make sure I have time to study and do the things I love.”Arkanza looked at her curiously. “They sound like good people.”“They are,” Lilian re

Why?”Lilian closed her book and fixed her gaze on Arkanza with an inscrutable expression. “Because I know what it’s like to be in that position. This time, the atmosphere between them was tense.“I’ve analyzed the data, Aidan. Something’s not right. It’s all too perfect. • The Path to Hidden Truths

Arkanza’s search had taken him far from what he had initially imagined. At first, he had sought only to exact revenge on Adam Smith, the man who had betrayed him and taken away his power. But the deeper he dug, the more mysteries he uncovered, drawing him into a conspiracy far greater than he had anticipated. One note, found in a hidden archive, became the starting point for investigating an unexpected and secretive organization. The note was written in nearly illegible handwriting, as though someone had intentionally tried to conceal their identity. However, upon closer inspection, Arkanza was able to piece it together into something larger. Hidden within the words was confusing information about an organization he had never imagined—an entity seemingly beyond Adam Smith’s control. This organization appeared to have played a role in shaping his life and, more shockingly, in the downfall of the group he had built and even in his supposed death. After nights of analysis, Arkanza knew t
