CHAPTER 54

Ken hurried after the critics. He had seen them consume the drink without displaying any sign of an adverse reaction. If the CEO wasn't affected, maybe the attack was targeted at them. He had to confirm.

He heard several times that some poison takes its course after a few minutes of being administered.

The critics were making their way down the hallway in their bid to exit the building when Ken charged toward them. Walking behind them were physically built men who were serving as their bodyguards. They were dressed in black tuxedos.

The men heard Ken screaming after them and they turned around to look at the boy calling their attention.

"Yes. What can we do for you?" One of them said immediately after they turned around.

Ken took hurried steps toward them amidst heavy pants. He had been running after them for about two minutes.

The bodyguards quickly stepped ahead just when he wanted to get closer to the critics.

"Let the boy be."
