Karma

Cassie didn't get up from the floor. She continued crying and then it dawned on her that her father was going to get suspicious if she spends a longer time than expected in the restroom.

She wiped her eyes with the edge of her left palm and got off the white tiled floor. She decided to call Ken one more time.

She dialed his number but Ken wasn't responding. She began to ponder. Should she send him a text message? If he didn't pick up her calls, was there a guarantee that the mere buzzing of a text message making its way into his phone would get his attention?

Cassie was out of both time and options so she decided to send him a text message.

With trembling hands, she punched in the keys.

'Meet me in the lady's room right now. It's urgent._ Cassie."

She knew it would be difficult for Ken to get through to her especially since her father had attached a bodyguard to her and she was sure that the man was still standing outside the door.
