Chapter 79

I looked up from my manual and let my eyes stray a bit.

At least I made myself believe that.

I was subconsciously searching for a particular pair of green eyes and when I found it-or rather- when it found me, I smiled inwardly.

His eyes remained fixed on me, not straying for a second.

The instructor's lecture on bench fitting fell on deaf ears as our stare contest continued.

Then he smiled, his dimples on full display. I ignored the flutter in my stomach which made me feel antsy. Soon I'd have to use the bathroom.

'Annie.' A voice whispered beside me. I refused to look as I didn't need to guess who was trying to get my attention.

'Not now, Amber.' I replied, not sparing her a glance. 

'No, can't do. You've been avoiding me all week.' She continued.

'Yes, It was deliberate. I'm not interested in what you have to say, thank you very much.' I responded curtly.

'But-'<
