Threats

Steven’s mum was shocked by her son’s decision. She could barely think straight considering how much he hated his dad’s business. She visited him two days later with a box of chocolate.

“Did you summon the boys yet?” He asked, ignoring the box of chocolates she brought.

“Why do you want to do this?” His mother was unimpressed.

“Do what?”

She sat on his office couch and crossed her legs.

“You have a child to think about. Do you want to raise her in a toxic environment the way your father did?”

Steven raised his brow nonchalantly.

“I know what I am doing.”

“You do not know what you are doing. This impulsive decision can make your daughter hate you.”

“What daughter?” Steven frowned. “Bonnie? I have got no time for an infant now. I am working on ways to rebuild my reputation.”

“So your reputation is more important than Bonnie.”

Steven was bored of the conversation.

“Please get me the documents and summon the men. I need to see them.”
