That noon, right after the rain had just stopped, the sunbeams peeked through the leaves, shining into the small kitchen where Julie was having lunch. Her nanny, Mrs. Mary, was ladling porridge into Julie’s bowl while listening to the little girl talk about the painting she had made at school. Suddenly, the sound of an engine echoed from outside.
