Hearing the salesperson’s recommendation, Sabrina hesitated.

“Maybe we should just leave,” Sabrina suggested quietly, turning away from the dress.

The last thing she wanted was to cause a scene.

She just wanted to make a good impression at the banquet.

“Laura, let’s look at what she recommended…” Sabrina tried to link arms with Laura.

But Laura wasn’t having any of it.

“Leave? Are you kidding me? She’s already trying to claim our dress! Who does she think she is?”

Laura’s voice had risen, drawing the attention of a few nearby shoppers.

Laura jerked her arm away from Sabrina, her anger already ignited.

“You’ll have plenty of other dresses to choose from. This one is mine.”

She eyed the display one last time before moving forward, her hand brushing the gown as if marking it as her territory.
