Chapter 16

Michael POV

I couldn't get a hold of Torrance and I must admit it's tiring.

After the hectic day at work, working for twenty four (24) hours straight. Having the weekend all to myself is heaven.

No woman to care about, nothing more than sleeping and eating all day. Aside for the fact that I have more cases to work on over the weekend.

Sitting on the flat blue plastic bed in the pool room, I calm myself down with chilled orange juice.

The cool blues play, making the air more memorable as I close my eyes, inhaling and exhaling skeptically.

For the first time in a weekend, I'm this peaceful with less problems to think about.

But my peace ended when my phone beside me started to ring.

Shoot!

I forgot to put it on silent mode.

At the sight of the caller, I groaned disgustingly before accepting the call.

It was Ayla.

"Hey Mich!" she chirped loudly over the phone sounding over excited.

I even had to take the phone away from my ears a bit.

"Hey Ayla, what'sup?" I said with a relaxing voice.
