It's about time to show these people how to learn not to mess with him, tamper with him. It's time to be self-centered and let the unforgiving spirit in him poison his soul. On the other hand, he strives to take it slowly due to the people he is acting towards.

Mr. Smith and his entire family are unsympathetic and evil, they are neutral about other's feelings when they hurt them, but spending three years in prison Is somewhat the best and worst thing that has ever happened to Michael.

Best in the form that he learned how to rip people and take them down without any deep regret.

In the worst form, he grasped the betrayal and disloyalty that came with it.

He learned all in the hardest way.

And these people do not even deserve the tiniest bit of remission.

When Michael turned to meet the curious and burning gaze of Mr. Smith, he caught another thing instead.

The man standing beside Mr. Smith.

He furrowed his brows, Did Pablo and his father call the army for him? They must be joking.

Standing before him is the man who served as an undercover in the prison before, not only that but also the one that gave me the ring.

The mystery man gave him the ring while in prison, although up until now he doesn't know what the ring represents, but he carried it dearly like gold.

Michael knows some certain things about the man, he runs a secret organization.

His eyes met the officer's and the little glance they exchanged passed a lot of messages to Michael, he knew that once his soft and unspoken emotion glistened in his eyes, the game over shit will definitely boomerang on Pablo.

He laughed with a challenging spirit, how exciting can this get more to? He really can't wait to see the end of it all.

The leader of the organization is acquired by he who held the ring, which Michael isn't aware of. Now, he is the head of the organization.

Pablo wore a smile on his face, later he should thank his father for bringing the officer, he never saw the need of having guests in his party but after seeing the man he must appreciate his father for inviting him at the right time.

He cleared his throat to clear the eerie silence and draw their attention to himself.

“Utmost respect officer, I'm glad you are here with my father” he leaned his head a bit, hiding behind the fake horrible self.

“Today is my wedding to my fiancée, it happened to be the same day this moron Michael was released too. Apparently, he had something with my fiancée in the past. Well, my girl has moved on, but Michael decided to mess up my wedding” he trailed off, “he even threatened my wife, I mean look at her red face, she has been crying on her wedding day because of him.”

“Please officer, you know what to do as you have seen the glaring evidence.” he bowed and smiled at Michael.

What a pea-brain, wondered Michael.

Pablo hates to admit that he looks like he has been begging for something that can be done in a twinkle of eyes on a normal day, but today doesn't seem normal. The fact that Michael was determined to challenge him after all these years didn't sit well with him.

Literally, he had the notion that he had done away with him after putting him behind the bar.

He was rest assured that the officer will take up the case and Michael can be dealt with once and for all.

His wedding can't be destroyed by Michael, not after thinking he got rid of him by sending him to prison. Pablo would acknowledge, He is kind of scared of him now, the timidness has gone, the prison must have taught him a lot.

And this time again, he would do everything in his power to get rid of him again, last time he showed a little empathy, it's the last time as well.

He doesn't care if he intimidated the Mafia boss, he needs to remind him that lion can't feast on lion.

With hope held high, Pablo awaited the officer's response.

The officer looked at Michael and Pablo, and then his eyes lingered on Michael a little longer. The ever dauntless Michael. How much he has grown, looking boldly courageous and brave, he e definitely remembered him even without looking at the ring.

It's obvious he can't do anything to this case not because he doesn't want to, but Michael is the head of his secret organization and beside that, he knows Michael well even for the little time in the prison, he was one of the few prisoners who marveled him, and every so often he wondered the moron that got him arrested.

Now it happened to be that moron is none other than Pablo, son of his newly acquired friend or so.

He gave his polite answer, “I'm sorry, I can't help on this matter. Since it involves Michael, there is nothing I can do about it.”

“Why? Why can't everyone deal with him?” Pablo was tired of hearing the same answer, “He is nothing, like absolutely nothing! In actual fact, he was just released from prison, so you see, he is an offender and needs to be put in his place.”

The officer clenched his fist and gritted his teeth, which went unnoticed by others. He didn't like how the man talked about Michael, and it seems that they had been humiliating him even before he arrived. If it were in his control, he would dismiss this and give a clump of stern warning to Mr. Smith's son.

Even though Mr. Smith treated him well, but no, Michael is off limits.

At this point, everyone was astonished, even the army officer can't do anything to Michael? They were surprised because they thought that Michael was a loser but then the Mafia boss bowed to him and now the army officer is excluding himself. They were scared now to face Michael and Pablo, who appeared to be the scariest, was suddenly having a problem to face Michael confidently like he did before.

Mr. Smith was surprised too, if the army officer he brought with him refused to do anything to Michael then it's pointless to turn in Michael to the authorities, so he opts for an alternative.

“The police has to be here, I have to call them,” a furious Mr. Smith said.

“No, you won't, the police don't call them” the army officer interjected.

Mr. Smith looked shocked, why is he stopping him? He had to look between Michael and the army officer. Michael is a loser, a nobody without support.

This can't be happening!

“Please stop it, just leave them for my sake, okay?” he pleaded with Michael.

Michael turned and stared back at him with much respect, “I would do it if it was another person but these people” he pointed at Pablo and his ex, “No, I don't think I will stop.”

The officer was glad and sad, but more glad because he loved to see this side of Michael, this side of him he helped him unlock, and now he is making an efficient use of it just that he is with the people he is forming alliance with, regardless they are Michael's enemy.

He had a wry smile and said, “Mr. Smith, I would not get myself involved in this mess."

“What do you want?” his hatred for Michael reflected in his eyes and expression like a diamond.

Michael singgered, Mr. Smith looks foolish and ridiculous. How low of them to think that everything can be bought with money, if so, he would have released himself from jail a long time ago. Hence, not even their entire fortune can buy his heart. He is yet to start and they are already panicky.

The only thing he wants is for these two to swallow their pride.

“Your son and his fiancée should kneel down and apologize” he ordered.

Fuming, Mr. Smith snapped his eyes at him. What? Is he mad? That is impossible and even if it was possible, he would never watch his son apologize to this scumbag in front of everyone, let alone kneel down.

He actually thought he would ask for money, considering that he looks shabby.

“I could give you some dough to put an end to this.”

“Nice of you, Mr. Smith” he smirked, “but you don't have a choice here.”

His brows furrowed, and his lips tightened in contempt, this man has some guts. He knows how to deal with them.

He takes a breath and relaxes his forehead.

It is pointless convincing this man, there is nothing else he can do about it, but what he knows well is that his son will never kneel down for him. Does he think that with all the fortune he owns, he will watch his own be embarrassed to this extent?

At the moment, the wedding can't continue, he has to stop it and put an end to everything. To save his son from the embarrassment and even make this man disappear from his presence, he has to stop the wedding.

Even if it will hurt Pablo, he has been tattling about it before today, and he wanted to use the wedding for leverage. Moreover, weddings can still be held privately.

“The wedding has come to an end” he announced.

It was an unexpected decision to Michael and others as well, he didn't see it coming. Wow, so he rather ends the wedding than see his son kneel down and apologize?

Pablo turned in a swift manner to his father and threw his father a hostile glare, “What? Wha-”

Kathie's eyes widened and her mouth fell slack, with a racing heart, dumbfounded.

“Yes, Pablo. It has to end since he would rather not leave, he can take the hall also, would you want to go down on your knees for him? No, so it has to end.” he reasoned with Pablo, hoping he would understand him.

Pablo's face contoured in rage, he was in shock as to why would he stop his wedding because of Michael? He despises that his father gives the impression of being intimidated too! Christ, he wants to slaughter Michael.

He disagreed, “Father, it can't-”

Mr. Smith interrupted him, knowing that he was against it

“Pablo, you have to leave right now!” he snapped, “for your own good.”

Pablo doesn't know what his father was doing but whatever he is doing, he hopes that somehow his head is approximately unerring.

Why then was he acting so strange? “Get her out then.” He turned to leave as he ordered the same man again. “Wait.” I got down hastily from the bed, my feet almost tangled in the sheets before reaching him. “Do on touch, talk from a distance.” His voice was ice cold and I wondered why he saved me when he was just going to be so rude and throw me out again. “Who are you?” “What sort of a ridiculous question is that? Ayla’s POV Where was I? I could barely remember anything, my memory took a pause at the time I was saved by an unknown man from Pablo and my head ached from trying to recall what had happened after that. I tried to get up but my limbs were weak, it was like I had been sedated and I could barely control my body to move. I opened my eyes to a luxurious view of dropping chandelier of rather expensive cut. Where was I? I tried turning my head to look around and I noticed that it was definitely not my room and definitely not Michael’s, so I was not anywhere near home. Was I kidnapped? That was very unlikely because I felt way too comfortable in the feather like bed to have actually been kidnapped. “It is about time you woke up. After ruining my evening and scattering my plans you do not deserve any more sleep than you have already gotten.” A thick voice welcomed me followed by a handsome man with muscular build. He did not look familiar in any way but his facial features made my head ac

An abrupt shooting spree was nothing he could not handle. I just needed to focus and keep my head in the game. Smith pushed the steel doors open and walked in sluggishly, panting heavily before flat of an armless sofa. He was too weak to be of any use to me, he was just a waste of space but I needed bait, a worm to catch the stubborn fish from the water and he seemed like the only willful option if he would agree. “Smith, come over.” I ordered and watched him sluggishly drag himself off the chair and shuttle towards me. “We need to get them to come after me again. You are gonna be the bait and you ain’t gonna complain or say a word out of the context, here or there.” “A bait? That will not be possible. I cannot be a part of your bullshit plan to sabotage innocent lives.” He yelled back at me, suddenly revitalized “They are

Pablo’s POV“Take him down, gunner!” I yelled. It was a raid, a bloody raid that I had not seen coming and it was not Torrance this time, the Vikings never worked like this. They were always to afraid to take a bold move, not to talk of a move as daring as this one.I could not wait for his response neither could I see him finish off the intruder, he would report himself to me. I shielded myself out, the intruder had used a Sub machine Gun and while his attacks were not directed at a particular target, he just shot as much as he could, all round.I passed through the back door, using the stair way that led to an empty underground garage. I got into my car and drove back home. On my way out, I saw the bodies of my soldiers lying outside the warehouse. The intruder had killed them all silently and it had happened during the call. They plan to take Kathie, get their friend and keep me on the losing end. This was not the work of the Vikings, they definitely had a greater help else, they w

I did not even want them getting involved in this because of my disobedience. “You cannot try it. Smith will not allow it.” I yelled at him, trying to conceal my emotions. He burst out in a maniac laugh, lolling his head back and forth continuously. “You are really feisty. I like that. But I’d like to see Smith try. Gunner, hit her up.” He stared at me and took a sip of his drink, then a long drag to take it down. The heavily built man that had kidnapped me earlier walked towards me, swinging a mallet as he closed the gap between us. I shook in fear, and almost peed on myself when a phone rang in a distance. It sounded so distinct as I could only hear Gunner’s footsteps approaching me. Michael’s POV The weekend ran fast with couple plates of lovely dishes, hours beside my pool and some few minutes of going through my set out plan, and then I was soon turning my tie to the rhythm of work blues. I was going to have a splendid time at work, packing my few personal belongings from my office back to my home, there wasn’t much there anyway. A day to resign officially; Miss Sarah was bound to ask me the reason for such sudden decision and I had not made up my mind on what to tell her. I whistled a tune to match my mood as I tightened the tie around my neck. I put on my suit and bent to pick my shoes from its rack. I noticed a paper under the bed; it was crumpled and as I pulled up the folded parts I saw that it was dirty and a little soft where it had gone damp. I read the content; it was a quick sketch of my findings from the beginning of the search on the Viking’s case right up until now. Had I squeezed it like this? Even if I did, I would not have thrown under the bed

    Chapter 85

Michael’s POV I was mapping out our plan for a successful victory. We need to infiltrate the Mafian cycle to conquer this battle once and for all. Scott was Pablo’s consigliere, who was more like his underboss as Smith was nothing to write home about. He had not contributed to the first Viking/Mafian war and he has certainly not helped in the course of Pablo’s reign. Pablo was soon to resign from his position but Smith was less of a Mafia boss material. Hence to cut down Pablo’s wings of authority, Scott was the first target, he needed to be done away with in order to over throne Pablo from his well known game. Donovan had said something about hitting Pablo where it would hurt already. Was Scott the part that would hurt? If so, then it was a smart decision. Scott would need to be taken down first in order to win this fight, as Scott’s absence (death) would make Pablo limp in a foot. Pablo ran a Mafian household that was not necessarily connected by blood or marriage. Scott was not
