How to Get Rid of Bad Memories

"HEA!!!"

Dealing with someone's anger is very easy to deal with.

The chaotic movement exposed cracks everywhere. With just one or two dodges, Alexander strikes back by hitting the ribs of the young man who has just attacked.

"Ugh! What are you waiting for? Hurry up and help me, damn it!” he cries to his friends who are even gawking at watching him attack alone.

“A-aah… Yes!”

Surrounded by them, Alexander feels neither panic nor fear at all. With trained fighting instincts and rich experience against multiple enemies at once, making him who is currently facing the same thing doesn't feel like he is being surrounded and he doesn't even feel threatened.

"Hmph!" snorts Alexander.

Fights are inevitable.

People just watching around can't believe what they see. There are those who rub their eyes, ask the person beside them to pinch them, and others to make them believe that now they are not dreaming.

A shocking spectacle, where an Alexander who is known to be weak and cowardly is now fighting against several youths who are always making trouble around him.

The youths who like to interfere, in fact, those who are the children of big and influential businessmen did not get further action by the guards. Aside from their family background that shouldn't be underestimated, they also didn't go overboard when it comes to interfering with other people's lives.

Now, they seem to be being toyed with by an Alexander who used to be their stuffed toy. People knew that, but they didn't have the courage, and most importantly, even though they felt sorry they didn't have the strength to do it.

If they helped Alexander, they would be the next target for the gang of youths.

They feel grateful because now something surprising happened.

Alexander easily dodges every punch or kick that is launched by a gang of troublemakers or those who became bad memories for Alexander's body.

As a knight, it's not just the sword that is a mainstay in battle. Boxing and kicks can also be deadly weapons. Even though Alexander doesn't have any barehanded martial arts skills, he had a lot of fighting experience. It was not impossible that he had his own fighting style when fighting barehanded.

Indeed, Alexander seems to be hitting without a technique, but once the young man is hit by an attack that used his full strength, the young man who has just been hit by his fist on the chest is immediately bounced back and fainted instantly.

He doesn't stop there, seeing another very open gap makes Alexander immediately sweep the legs of the young man behind him, making him helplessly float in the air for a moment before getting a follow-up attack from the front kick.

There is another attack, Alexander easily dodges again no matter the attack coming from behind. He immediately catches the leg the opponent is using to attack him and immediately slams him onto the street floor.

The fight is dominated by one person alone.

"Gulp..." he looks at one of his friends who still hasn't fallen, which of course, now the two of them are left. "Hey, should we just run?" he whispers to his friend.

"I think it's better to run than to suffer the same fate as them..." replies his friend without thinking, he looks at his fallen friends in horror. Because of what he see, they are all completely unable to continue fighting. They seem to be in pain the only time they got a very strong punch or kick from Alexander.

The two remaining youths actually choose to run away, they run away!

Alexander has no intention of chasing because it is useless anyway. But for the youths who are helplessly groaning in pain on the street floor, he has to use the opportunity to advise them.

However, human attitudes can change. These young men might just be troublemakers. However, it is possible for them to become good people and behave the opposite of what they are now. Those who like to harm other people, probably because they are influenced by outside factors as well. It is impossible purely, they have such bad qualities without anyone instilling distorted thinking.

“Hey… D-don't come any closer!” they shout hysterically.

No matter how the pain in the body part that was attacked by Alexander, they choose to move to keep their distance from Alexander who is now starting to walk towards them.

In their view, Alexander is like a lion about to devour him. The fear that replaces their pride makes them mentally shaken like a ship that is not specially made to withstand the destructive force of the big waves during a storm in the ocean, their identity sinks along with the weak ship and continues to descend to the bottom of the sea.

People don't feel sorry for them, especially those who have been or are often victims of being bullied by the gang of youths, they are actually happy.

Miserable faces enter Alexander's sight or eyes on his physical body. At that moment, a memory of fear that always made his blood boil as if asking the owner of the body to get away from there become calmer.

“Stop right there!” someone shouts.

Alexander turns toward the source of the voice. He sees a pair of city guards running toward the crossroads, where the fight was taking place.

"Eh? S-Sir Alexander, is that really you?” asks one of the two city guards, both of whom star at Alexander in disbelief as their gazes continued to stare alternately between Alexander and the four pitiful-looking youths lying on the street for a relatively short period of time.

"You defeated this gang of troublesome youths alone?" asks the other.

Alexander smiles happily to find the attitude of the city guards who seem to have the same view as the people who have been watching the fight at the crossroads, do not mind the bad conditions that befell them.

"Yes, it is true. Did it look like there was someone next to me helping me beat them up?” asks Alexander back.

The two laugh awkwardly. The town guard who has spoken first nudges his comrade who seems to be wrong in asking. Although deep down in his heart, he also has a hard time believing his own eyes and he actually wanted to ask the same thing. Thus, he thanks his partner in his heart for representing his curiosity.

“Forgive my foolish comrade, Sir Alexander...”

Alexander chuckles at the attitude of the two city guards who still considered themselves to be descended from nobles who are usually treated with respect. "Forget it. Next time, you guys will have to take care of delinquent youths like them. If there is no law that can ensnare them, at least you educate them properly. There's no need to use violence, but a little bit of intimidation is fine I guess…” he suggests.

“You've probably seen a lot of how hard it is for people to keep being bullied by them. Don't you guys feel sorry too, if this keeps happening?" continues Alexander.

The two stared at each other for a moment, before both nod.

“We will discuss this with the guard leader so that he will follow your advice…”

"Oh yes. Sir Alexander, what are they going to do? Should we punish them for bothering you?” asks one of the guards who stares at him pointing at the four young men who have not yet risen from the floor.

Alexander also looks at them, he holds his chin as he considered whether he should leave it to these two city guards or he should teach them a lesson.

“Let me take care of these ones. If you can, you guys take care of the other two people who have run away. Not to be punished, but I just want to open the eyes of these young men so that they act more wisely. Even though they are still young and have a high spirit of life, they still need to be educated during these volatile times…” explains Alexander.

Hearing Alexander who said that he was much more mature compared to these troublesome youths made both of them stunned for a moment before both of them immediately remember what has just happened.

Alexander, who was previously unable to give resistance to a gang of youths who always oppressed him. So, finding an unexpected change is really too hard to believe if you don't witness it with your own eyes.

These two city guards from afar did indeed see that there was a fight. But as soon as his call was heard just then, the fight was over. And, they found Alexander who was being stared at with horror by four young men who had often bullied Alexander.

"Very well, Sir Alexander. We'll try to find them, who knows they're not home yet and are still hanging around here…”

The two guards rush off towards the two young men who have fled.

“W-wait, Mr. City Guard!” cries one of these pitiful youths.

They seem to prefer to be taken care of by the two city guards and it doesn't matter whether they end up taking legal action or not, the important thing is that they can get out of the situation that now feels tense for them. They believe that their families can get him out of the way of the law when it happens.

“What are you going to do, Alexander…?” one of them asks stuttering and every word that was spoken sounded indistinct.

Alexander continues walking toward them without any intention of answering the desperate question. After arriving in front of them, then he wants to say but is immediately cut off by a cry for forgiveness.

“I-I was just following along, Alexander. So I beg you, please just forgive me…”

It was someone like the young man who has just been begging that Alexander dislikes the most, or the soul of an honorable knight. Not because begging for forgiveness, it is classified as a good act or even worthy of respect for his actions. But to gain forgiveness at the expense of another or worse, a friend or comrade, is a disgraceful act, even worse than running away.

Alexander approaches this young man, then he whispers something to him in a cold tone.

"Do you know? A person like you is the one I hate the most…”
