098: The Past - I
I looked her straight in the eyes and replied in all honesty.

“I am sorry, Hamasaki.”

For a moment, her mouth opened a little then she closed it tight. Her thin glossy lips then went on to form a thin smile. A smile that said that she knew this was coming. Her hands were clasped tightly in front of her and all she could do was look on at me with her loving gaze.

But, I didn’t avert her gaze and looked straight at her. This was the least I could do to respect the determination and courage she showed despite knowing the end result.

A strong wind blew, and her long hair was sent flying in the air, blocking her face.

She turned around and then she ran.

Although her face was hidden by her long, lustrous hair, I was sure I had seen it.

A drop of tears that contained a thousand painful emotions.

“I wonder how many times has it been now?”

I said as I looked up at the sky with my expression blank.

Maybe eighteen? No. It should have already crossed twenty by now.

Twenty.
