Chapter 7 - Joining the Scarlet Canary Team (1)

"I am finally able to leave this stupid giant trap disguised as a planet! I wonder who created it and for whom exactly. I have been trapped in it for many years now that my husband would think I have lost my life. Ugh!"

"But he didn't even come to look for me, that bastard! He neglected and totally forgot about me. Hmm. Anyway, when I get back, I will make him suffer. I will make him pay for not even making a slight attempt to look for me. But that aside, I seriously hope they are all doing really great. I miss my husband and my cute baby so much."

"He must have grown so tall and attractively handsome now. I wonder if he would still be able to recollect my face. Anyway, kids from my world have powerful memories. They can easily recall things that happened when they were one-month old babies if they want to. But I seriously hope my love and my bundle of joy are both doing well. We will reunite soon honeys, once I cease my fatiguing space exploration." A woman that looked exceedingly beautiful, had bright crimson eyes, wore an alluring radiant smile and a softly glittering, jet-black Vrygontech space-odyssey armor that brought out her body's well-shaped tempting figure, said with a longing look in her face.

"But truthfully, I only came to waste my time in this damned and dead planet-trap! Ughhhh!! It's so painful. Imagine all the wasted years that I spent being far away from my family and homeworld. I do sincerely hope they don't think that I have lost my life in one of my highly dangerous, deep-space explorations in search of ancient alien civilization technologies, like the Qua'ar Planet-Annihilator Weapon Core that I relentlessly seek for and would like to entirely incorporate into my Golden Rayviin Armor to increase its strength, invulnerability and spectrum of functionalities." The woman said further with a bright smile in her face as she imagined her future of unimaginable power.

...

"Dad, since the institute that I study at has been closed till further notice, and I don't want to be idle over here, can I follow your A-Team or B-Team for certain missions? And if that's too high-profile and extremely dangerous for your liking, I can go with your C-Team."

"I want to start going for overt or covert operations and know how to properly execute them like a well-trained agent, since I would inherit your organization in the future. I want to understand how these things work. It's true you trained me to overcome unexpected fatal assaults by hidden or ambushing enemies, but I want to become more than that. I want to make myself known out there, amongst your men and ring like the bell of a bell-bearing Life Seizer in the ears of our bitter enemies..." Hunter stood before his dad and said as he gazed at him.

Sigh!

Alexander sighed and said, "Son, the kind of operations that my men go for, are extremely dangerous operations. No matter their ranking. Even the lowest ranking F-Team go for extremely dangerous operations that could get them wiped out in seconds. So son, I am sorry. It's too early for that. You are still young, live your life, enter into relationships, have fun, play games, read books, novels, and try to complete the remaining parts of your training."

Before Hunter could say anything to refute his father's statement and possibly change his seemingly fixed mind, a beep was suddenly heard from Alexander's watch, which was an indicator that a particular team was in trouble and probably needed more helpers.

"Sir Alexander... Bang!! Bang!! Bang!!... Boom!!!... Bang!! Bang!!.... Boom!!....Bang!!..." A terrified voice rang out from the digital communicator watch and was followed immediately by loud gunshots and frightening explosions, signifying that the person that put a call through to Alexander, was under serious attack by overpowering armed enemies.

"Sir, we need more helpers. The enemies are overbearing in numbers and are seriously armed with bigger sophisticated weapons. We need more assistance that are in possession of enormous firepowers to leave here alive... Bang!! Bang!! Boom!!... Bang!!.. Or we would be doomed." The person said with great urgency in his tone.

"Dad, let me go help them. They need help, I can help them." Hunter, who wanted to cash in on this opportunity, immediately said with total seriousness in his face.

"Hunter, you are too young and extremely green for such devastating operations, go to your room and rest. That's a command." Alexander said without looking at Hunter who looked at him with a certain expression in his face before turning around to angrily leave his presence.

"Aii!" Alexander sighed.

He then put a call through to someone using a black secured-communication phone that he took out from the right bottom pocket of his tactical, multi-pocket bulletproof jacket.

Hunter got to his room and began to fiddle with certain solid-shape materials on his desk. As he did so while recalling the statement of that person on a secured-communication channel with his dad, he was suddenly inspired to come up with some hi-tech items, one of which was a nanotech helmet that could grow outward from a partially-visible, ergonomic metal headband and fully cover his whole head in the form of a durable protective helmet that had the function of Holographic Heads-up Display (HUD).

The function of the helmet, as thought by Hunter, would be: three-dimensional 360-degree view, 1,500,000x zoom in a focused line or in every direction, individual threat-level advanced probabilistic scan, armed personnel threat-level scan, new vicinity deep auto-scan, weapon firepower advanced deterministic scan, covert operations fatality-level assessment scan, advanced multispectral vision, and more.

Immediately he thought that with a smile appearing in his face, he quickly got to work. But that wasn't all the items that he thought of building, he also came up with a nanoparticle supply backpack that would produce more nanoparticles, if he were to ever run out of them in a really intense battle with enemies. Then lastly, he wanted to build a space-storage device, which was one where he could store all of his personally built armaments for his use at any time.

As soon as he generated blueprints for the designs of the items that he planned on creating, he immediately headed to a place where he would get tons of materials from.

"Hunter, how are you doing? And what brings you here?" A tall, bald-headed, dark-skinned man with a strongly intimidating, bulky muscular physique, asked with a cordial smile in his face.

"Hi, Luke. I plan to get materials for some inventions that I have in mind. Would you allow me in?" Hunter directly said.

"You have come up with creative ideas for some tech inventions once again? Who am I to stop you, regardless of you being my boss's son? Go right in and take all the materials you want, boy." Luke said while Hunter smiled and nodded his head.

Once he went in, Hunter began to take all the items that he would need for the creation of the devices that he had in mind.

After taking all the items he would need, which he placed on a magnetic levitation-capable, large-load carrier cart, he pulled it with him and left the room to head to a place called Forge, which was simply a massive but heavily compartmentalized place where hundreds of different creations could be done at once in different rooms called Workrooms.

Hunter, who pushed the magnetically floating cart by its cold metal handle, entered a particular workroom which was specially designed for him and immediately got to work. His workroom was several times larger than other workrooms and had numerous engineering tools and devices that couldn't be found in other rooms.

Hunter placed everything he got from the other room on a massive worktable and began to work on the first blueprint he had in mind, which was the nanotech helmet that he chose to call 'Black Helm.'

When Hunter was taking materials from the room, he suddenly recalled that he didn't add body armor to the list of items that he wanted to create, which was also important. So, he took materials that he would need to create a nanotech armor that would be focused more on defense than attack. His plan was to create a far stronger, far powerful, incredibly fast bodysuit-like hyper-alloy armor in the future, when he had much more advanced materials and resources to work with. The materials that he got from that room wouldn't be enough for the kind of powerful armor that he had in mind of creating and donning for battles.

Hunter who had an incomparable monster-genius factor, as well as astounding, enormously great knowledges in all technology-related fields which included biotech, chemotech, cybertech, nanotech, quantum technology, biomechanical technology, smart poly-modification technology, electronic technology, organotech, medical technology, optical technology, weapons technology, food technology, nerve-based/neuronic technology, thermal technology, gene technology, Quorton Particle energy-generation fission technology, particle-combination technology, fusion-power technology, spatial displacement and void transference technology, miniaturization technology, solar and stellar-based technology, temporal technology, flat space-dimension technology, collapsible/foldable-space technology, etc, was up to the task of effortlessly creating something unique and extraordinarily remarkable for himself.

When Hunter was at the age of seven, he had read more than two hundred different textbooks for all branches of technology, which he totally comprehended and could surprisingly come up with his own practical ideas for myriad technological creations. At the age of twelve, he had read and understood all Masters level, Doctorate level, Expert Researcher level and Grand Researcher-level materials for every disciplines/fields of technology.

His completely unalterable biological and genetical factor, since he was from a Planet that had its most inferior tech ten thousand centuries more advanced than the most highly-advanced futuristic tech found on Earth, allowed him to easily mass-generate different blueprints for the ceaseless creation of amazing technological wonders and astonishing mechanical marvels.

A few minutes later, as he screwed this, coupled and melded that, and performed other physical engineering operations on his worktable, all while following a certain blueprint in his head for the nanotech helmet that he called Black Helm, the helmet was finally ready.

"Finally." Hunter said with a proud smile in his face.

He immediately wore the nanotech helmet which was in the form of a thin, metallic headband on his head and mentally activated it.

Instantly, a stream of ink-black nanoparticles emanated from a microscopic slit around the headband and began to rapidly fuse with one another where they became a shiny and sleek, dark-black technological helmet that had a really beautiful design.

Upon further look at the helmet, one would see that it was an helmet that entirely covered his face, but had small square-shaped apertures that glowed in bright blue radiance and served as eyeslits for him to see his surroundings. As for the black metallic headband that the helmet generated out from, it had been completely absorbed into the helmet, becoming an integral part of it.

The instant the helmet formed around Hunter's head, he was immediately presented with holographic projections that showed him compilations of real-time analytical data of everything in his present surroundings.

"Nice." Hunter said with the nod of his head.

"Activate X-ray Vision." He said to test it.

Instantly, the helmet activated a function that allowed Hunter to see through solid and thick walls of concrete and steel, but not through other types of barriers that were possibly made from radiation-rebounding composite materials.

"Increase X-ray Vision barrier-penetration ability by two levels!" Hunter commanded, still trying to test out this particular function.

Suddenly, he was able to see through every barrier that he previously couldn't see through before. And since the ability of the X-ray Vision had been upped by two levels, essentially because he wanted to challenge the barriers that previously gave him trouble, Hunter could see through every barrier, which included peoples' clothes and therefore presented lots of unaware, walking naked figures to him.

"Deactivate X-ray vision, immediately!!" Hunter said out loud with his cheeks flushed and reddened at the same time. He had seen things that he couldn't unsee and which left a really bad crack in the mirror of his mind.

"Ugh!" He groaned in a disgusted manner at himself.

Then he continued to check out other abilities of the nanotech helmet to see if he would need to improve or further modify anything about them.

...

"Alexander, forgive me for being too forward, but why don't you allow Hunter to join a team and go out there to bathe himself in the conflictive and explosive supremacy battles that occur amongst factions? Especially against that Red Crow faction that always antagonizes us because of our goals, and is doing everything far beyond the scope of its power to bring an end to our operations, while praying for our doom and downfall."

"You know, after numerous blood and metal baptisms, Hunter will definitely grow into a dazzling young man with seeming divinely-blessed, invention-based IQ and superior battle-related intelligence. You can't always keep him forever, within the walls of this place. So, I will advise that you let him experience the chaotic, strong-eat-weak events that happen everyday in our realm of the world, and see how it would forge him into an exceptionally fierce and outstandingly formidable being of colossal destructive prowess." A tall muscular man with large bionic arms and was nicknamed Big Bear, since he was furry all over like an actual bear, said with a broad smile in his face as he looked at Alexander.

Big Bear was Alexander's vice and was an extremely powerful, white-haired 40-year old male. His bionic arms were the source of his power, since they granted him with the ability to lift in excess of 300 tons. Actually, the bionic arms weren't really bionic arms in the first place.

They were obtained from the corpse of a particularly powerful alien with enormous arm strength, such that the alien could lift close to 200 tons without using additional supporting power from its shoulder, chest, core and back muscles.

The alien's super-strong arms, after passing through various mechanization and motorization stages, and then numerous cybernetic-treatment and electronic modification stages, became Big Bear's bionic arms today.

Alexander looked at Big Bear with an expression that depicted that he was at a total loss of what to say.

After reorganizing his thought process, he said with a serious look in his face, "Big Bear, I totally understand you. But can you see how my special son has revolutionized all our technologies? Because of the various high-tech blueprints that he comes up with like it's nothing, we have been able to push back certain hidden adversarial forces that have been targeting us recently, which I am sure are behind the volleys of torrential gunshots and explosive attacks rained on Kyle and his men."

"What I am trying to say is, without him, all this will be gone. Everything! Now, that's one aspect of it."

"Second aspect, he is my son. My one and only beloved son who has so far impressed me that I can't ask for anything else from him. I love him and cherish him, like he is the actual physical embodiment of my life."

"Big Bear, I tremendously value my son's life that I won't allow anything happen to him. All this, after I retire, will be given to him. He is more qualified to lead this organization after I am gone. So, imagine if I lost him because of a particular perilous situation that he found himself in, I will be done for. Like, totally done for, completely doomed!" Alexander said with a gravely serious look in his face.

"However... I can't keep him in here forever, or he will grow weak. He will become like a blade that has grown blunt and lost all its sharpness. I wouldn't want that to happen either, which is equally devastating."

"So, after much internal deliberation on what you mentioned, I have made up my mind to send him out for missions. He will join the Scarlet Canary team and assist them in fulfilling their objectives!"
