“Oh my God” I said waking up “ why, why do I keep having this damn dream that doesn’t make sense” I asked myself inaudibly. I have been having the same dream since I could remember. Seeing a child in a blue basket on an ocean, the baby’s parent telling him/her to come back and I don’t even know if the baby is a female or not, not to talk of the couple there.

While thinking about this, suddenly it struck me, what happened in school. Did I imagine it or what? I don’t understand. I stood up and went in front of my mirror, I looked at myself or to be more accurate my eyes. It’s still dark blue, then did I imagine it but it is impossible to imagine that my eyes that has always been dark blue turned light blue.

I think I will just call Eve to come over and ask if she saw anything and in case she says she didn’t then it’s my imagination but

I sighed out ‘fuck it’. I went back to my bed and took my phone, I dialed her number, it rang five times and she didn’t pick up so I was beginning to think that she was scared of me because of my eyes but she is not the type of person to get scared easily so I called her again and this time around she picked up.

“Who the hell is disturbing me? Just when I was receiving my award for the badass bitch in my dream and whoever you are just ruined it and y…” She started ranting immediately she picked my call but I was not paying attention.

“Come to my house now please… bestie” I said and hang up without allowing her to respond

I am very sure she already knows who is talking and that something is wrong because we never remember to call each other bestie except when we are in trouble

I didn’t even wait for 15 minutes before she appeared “what’s wrong” she asks climbing the bed to come and join me

“ do you notice what happened in the cafeteria today?”

“what do you mean?”

“my voice changed and my eyes glowed”

Eve stared at me as if I had developed two heads and a tail at that moment. Suddenly she burst into laughter she was laughing so hard that she started rolling on my bed without a conscious thought

“ I never knew you also imagine stuffs like this” she said between laughter

what the hell? I almost said aloud so she thought I imagined stuffs like that And I swear I would have burst out laughing if I was not so worried

“ I mean it I was not imagining it I saw it my eyes glowed and I don’t know why I’m serious if it really did happen” I said so serious that I actually thought that was the first time I was that serious about something

“Do you really mean it Lillian?” She said getting herself together. What? I was actually surprised for a moment because she never calls me Lillian except when she’s serious “Oh yes I...I mean it”

“ but nothing could have changed your eyes because since I have known you, you have never said your eyes has changed so I don’t really get you” she said now serious

“I know but I have been feeling strange, different since the beginning of the year and just this morning I’m not sure whether my eyes glowed or not so I’m just as confused as you are” I sighed out feeling a little bit relived at getting everything out at last

Eve looked so confused that I started to feel guilty for telling her my problems but then she suddenly smiled

“I think I have a temporary solution for you”

“And what’s your so called temporary solution” I asked slowly

“Go give your boyfriend a surprise visit”

“What?”

“Yes that’s the best thing to do right now I’m very sure you will like his expression when you suddenly appear in his house”

“But I have never gone to his house without calling him first don’t you think that it’s like a disturbance of privacy”

“How will that cheer you up if you call him before going when his expression is the main reason we are going there?”

“We are, I thought You didn’t like us dating, so why are you going to follow me to his place where we are going to annoy you Like you do Say”

“Because In case your eyes changes again, I don’t want to miss the sight.”

“You are crazy”.

“ Oh, did you just figure that out?”

“Come on, go get dressed And let’s go”. She said, In her Eveish way.

“Are you sure he won’t get angry? You know, Going to his house without a… “ I was so worried that I just kept ranting about what to do if he gets angry But this time around Eve didn’t allow me to continue before she suddenly step on the break that was forced to hit my head.

“You just keep short for a bit and allow me to drive in peace? Damn, she’s getting pissed off .”You keep saying that if he gets angry at you, but have you ever thought that? What if we get so happy to see you? Have ever thought to be a little bit optimistic? I am driving you to his house for a surprise visit in order to cheer you up, yet to keep getting more worried. “ I am sorry Eve” That’s pathetic, right? But that’s the only thing I always manage to get out when Eve is pissed because I don’t really want to fuel her anger.

She signed and started driving the car Again. And this time around, it was a silence . We arrived at Alexander’s Street and Eve decided, it would be better to park the car a few meters away from his house. Then we got down and started walking to his house in more silence that seems to be forced, suffocating me.

“ Eve I’m sorry”

“whatever, but it only seems as if you wants me to regret this decision.”

“I think I can understand now.”

We got to Alexander’s house. And instead of knocking, Eve said, it would be better to just enter since his door is never locked unless he is out.

Though I was nervous, I forced myself to agree. We entered as silently as we could afford. We climbed the stairs as quiet as possible. We were about to burst into his room when we started hearing sounds. At first we didn’t know what they were. But when we pressed a little to the door, then I was able to hear clearly. It wasn’t just any sound, There were moans and groans.

What? What is going on? Did Alex brother come home and Alex didn’t tell me or what else is going on? Those were the questions that were rolling in my mind, but I force myself to calm down And check what was wrong.

I looked at Eve, or should I say we looked at each other, And in a silent agreement, we opened the door.

Then I froze. I stared and I felt numb. Pain started to grow in me. Hurt was like my only companion. It is not possible. That was my first thought. It’s only my imagination. But then my imagination Is not really that Accurate recently. I tried convincing myself that there must be a reason that a low life bitch is under my boyfriend right now, moaning like… the scavenger goat she is. And I was able to calm down… a bit

“What is actually going on here?” Eve asked and I was mildly surprised, that tone was totally calm, not even an hint of anger. But I know her. She’s only trying to be calm because of me.

Alexander looked shocked to see us, but immediately after the shock wears off instead of remorse that I expected and obviously that Eve also expected an hidden loathing showed in his eyes.

“ Oh, I was going to tell you, but seems like you found out sooner than later,” he said, getting off the bitch to lie beside her. That was when I realized that the bitch is actually Cassandra, CASSANDRA the leader of the popular girls. They are known to be the bullies In Vanessa high school.

I just can’t believe that even if he wants to cheat on me, he decided to choose Cassandra. CASSANDRA. No, no, no. I kept screaming that in my head.

“ And what do we find out?” Eve asked in that irritating calm tone. While I’m still trying to be calm about all these, but I just couldn’t stop my myself from screaming. Not Cassandra in my head.

He didn't get a chance to finish his sentence before I snapped. I closed my eyes and screamed. I just did it out of reflex. I heard the breaking of glass and surprisingly, the rush of an heavy rain. But I wasn’t paying any attention because right there…
