After half a day of waiting, Olivia finally found the person. When she entered the room, Olivia looked sluggish, and her gestures showed that she was uncomfortable. I had a feeling she was going to say something bad.

"The one who holds the certificate for the orphanage is Mr. Lanston, sir. Some years ago, Mrs. Tracy mortgaged it to someone, and in recent months, that person sold it to Mr. Lanston."

I clenched my fists at Olivia's words. What had Mr. Lanston meant by mentioning the orphanage? Maybe he had been investigating me all along, but for what?

I took a deep breath and then gave Olivia an order. "Put me through to Mr. Lanston."

I could have gotten Tracy a new orphanage in a new place. But I knew how much this orphanage meant to her. She had spent so many years there and there were so many memories that could never be replaced.
