I replied with a mocking smile at the man who had now extended his hand to me.

"Isn't it wrong of you to accept this man as your son-in-law, sir?" Mr. Lopez's face clouded immediately upon hearing my words. He, who had been smiling, now became tense.

"What do you mean, Mr. Durand? Do you know Ian?" The middle-aged man looked curious and now looked at me with narrowed eyes.

I looked at Ian and felt something strange. Why did this man look so casual and not afraid that I would tell him all his ugliness?

"Of course I know him, sir. He is a former employee of this company. He is also the man who had an affair with my ex-wife." I said it out loud so that no one else would be victimised by Ian. Enough of my life being victimised by this man in front of me.

"Is that true, Ian?" Mr. Lopez looked at Ian as if he wanted an explanation.

"Of course not, Dad. He is just jealous of me because his ex-wife used to be crazy about me. But I never responded to him because I didn't want to invade someone
