Chapter 178

I blinked a few times to convince myself that this was not a dream. Moments ago I was in the middle of the lake, my body frozen. I even remember when I started to run out of breath and finally lost consciousness.

And when I woke up, I was suddenly back on the shore, in the same position I had been in before I entered the lake.

"What is this? Was it just a hallucination?" I asked, confused by what I had just experienced.

I slapped my cheek and realised it was real when I felt pain. "If this is real, was it just a dream?"

I ignored everything and started to put my feet in the water. But it felt the same as what I had felt before. That means it was not a dream. If that is the case, I must find another way to get to the centre of the lake. But what would I do if I had to get there without help?
