I gaped as I was invited into one of the rooms in Eren's house. This wasn't just a room for making potions like mine, but a laboratory.

He threw a white coat at me, who was still stunned when he entered the room. "What are you doing here?" The question came out of my mouth. I'd seen places like this in science films before.

"I used to be a researcher in a laboratory. But because of someone's malice, I was fired and couldn't work anywhere else. When I was really down, the system came to me and made me a hunter. But I was a scientist, I couldn't just leave my world. I ended up building my own lab in my house."

I nodded at Eren's explanation. His path was not much different from mine. We were both ostracised from the world and eventually became the chosen ones to become hunters.

I followed Eren as he carried the bottle with the sample to a table. There was a microscope on the table. Eren took a small sample of blood from infected 01 and placed it on a small glass, which was then placed u
