The trail of Lucille and Jewels Transmigrated bodies went all the way to the top of a building very close the High Court building. It is said that the High Court is in the middle of the entire district which is indeed true but when it came to the center of the entire state of Haven, this building that they were on was actually in the center of it all.
For what was about to happen they needed to be in the exact center of the affected zone which was to be the entire state of Haven because that's where the war seemed to be focused at. This was so that there will be an equal distribution to everyone.

It was a stright line from Daniel's path to Awon and while on his way to his target Daniel already knew what he was going to do which is a call back to his original plan before the fight even started and that is to overpower his opponent with everything he has.Like stated before Awon's ability of Cause and Effect is only as effective when the Effect Mirage shows that the Cause is more powerful than his target's defence at that specific moment and the Recoil makes sure that that stays true.
