Zander pressed his foot harder against Huros's chest, causing the large man to grimace in pain.

Zander's eyes remained sharp, his voice low but intimidating. "Who sent you?" he asked coldly.

Huros stayed silent, trying to endure the pain. However, his breaths grew shorter, and blood began to drip from the corner of his mouth.

"I’ll ask you one more time," Zander said, pressing his foot down even harder on Huros's chest. "Speak, or I’ll send you to hell right now."

Huros groaned in pain, his hands clutching Zander's leg as if trying to push it off, but his strength was clearly insufficient.

Finally, in a halting voice, he spoke. "D-Darren Xanta... he sent me."

Zander loosened his pressure slightly but kept his position. "Why?"

Huros weakly nodded. "He said you... are a threat to him that must... be eliminated."

Zander stared at him for a few seconds, ensuring Huros wasn’t hiding anything. Then, he lifted his foot from the man's chest but remained standing close.

However, attention quickly shifted when one of the guests, a young woman known as a social activist, stood up and spoke. "Mr. Dom, I just want to thank you for your continued support for our orphanage," she said loudly, enough for everyone to hear. "Without you, many children would not receive a proper education." Dom turned toward her and smiled sincerely. "Thank you for your hard work. I’m just contributing a little; the real effort comes from you and your team." Hammo appeared uncomfortable, feeling that this moment was stealing his spotlight. He tried to add something. "I also believe that the education of children is the future of Venua. If I am elected governor, it will be my top priority." However, Dom simply nodded without offering further response. Dom walked to the back room, leaving the bustle of the hall. There, he met Reina, his loyal business advisor. The professionally dressed woman was examining the tablet in her hands, analyzing media reports and public op

Zander knew that Dom would be shocked by his command, and he didn’t give Dom any time to ask further questions. "I know this will surprise you. But I want you to openly support Hammo Xanta," he said calmly. Dom remained silent, trying to process what he had just heard. However, Zander continued without giving him a chance to respond. "Don’t worry, I have clear reasons," his voice remained low and firm. "If you support him, the media will immediately respond. They will start discussing your relationship with Hammo, and that will damage his reputation even further." He spoke again, more seriously, "You know, the media today can destroy someone just with the news they spread." "With your position as the owner of Net TV, you have the power to make Hammo more publicly known," Zander continued. On the other hand, Dom could feel the tension rising. He knew exactly that Zander wasn’t speaking without reason. Zander continued, his voice growing colder, "In today’s world, to destro

Darren staggered into the house, his face flushed red as he struggled to endure the pain radiating from his broken left arm. He screamed hysterically, "AAAHHH! DAMN IT! YOU’RE DEAD, ZANDER!" His shout shattered the night’s silence, prompting every Xanta family servant to rush out from their corners of the mansion. “Young Master Darren...What happened?!” one of the servants asked, approaching in panic. “Doctor!” Darren groaned, clutching his limp left arm. “Call the family doctor! NOW!” Without waiting for further orders, a servant sprinted toward the phone, while others carefully guided Darren to the living room to sit down. His face was drenched in cold sweat, and even the slightest movement drew louder curses. “DAMN YOU, ZANDER!” Darren roared again, his voice cracking with rage. “I swear to God, I’ll get my revenge. I’ll destroy him until there’s nothing left!” The doctor arrived a few minutes later, carrying a medical bag and plaster cast supplies. After a quick exam

“NO!” he said in a low but firm voice. “Listen carefully. Don’t act recklessly going forward. You know I’m in the middle of a campaign.” “Every move we make will be watched. If you cause a commotion or attempt something foolish, it will immediately impact my popularity as a gubernatorial candidate for Venua.” Darren let out a long sigh, staring at the ceiling with an irritated expression. “So what do you want me to do, Daddy? Sit still and accept this humiliation?” Hammo stepped closer to the bed and sat in the chair next to Darren. He fixed his eldest son with a sharp gaze, his face full of determination. “I’ve spent a lot of money covering up Ganza’s case. You remember that, don’t you? The scandal at that party nearly destroyed us.” “With great effort, I managed to suppress that issue,” Hammo continued. “The media has stopped talking about it, and the public has started to forget.” “And I won’t let your foolishness or your personal hatred of Zander ruin everything.” “B

One Day Later at the Net TV Office Hammo arrived at the Net TV office with his eldest son, Darren Xanta. They were there to fulfill an invitation from Dom to be guests on the talk show scheduled for that afternoon. Hammo wore an elegant gray suit, while Darren, despite having his left arm in a cast, walked with a proud, confident stride. As they approached the front entrance of the building, Darren’s eyes immediately locked onto someone familiar. Zander, the former military commander, was mopping the floor in a janitor’s uniform, just as Darren had last seen him. “Daddy, look at that!” Darren whispered with a sneer, glancing toward Zander. “There he is, the former military commander now mopping floors. How embarrassing, right?” Hammo glanced toward where Darren was pointing, squinting his eyes as he observed Zander with a neutral expression. After a few seconds, he spoke in a low voice, though loud enough for Darren to hear, “Why does a big company like Net TV still employ

Hammo remained calm, though his lips tightened. He looked at Antony with a small, forced smile. "Ah, I know what you're referring to." "Unfortunately, there are many rumors that are often exaggerated. What happened at that party has been handled internally, and I assure you that there is nothing for the public to worry about," he continued. Antony didn’t back down. He gave a small nod before responding, “Of course, the public just wants to make sure that their leader doesn’t have personal issues that could affect his integrity.” Hammo seized the pause to give a more diplomatic response. "Antony, I believe integrity is paramount in leadership. That is why I have taken steps to ensure that all personal matters do not interfere with my responsibilities to the public.” “The people of Venua can trust that I am solely focused on their well-being.” The tension in the studio slightly eased. "I worked hard for the Xanta family, but when I started questioning some of Mr. Hammo's decisions, I was fired without a clear reason, and why wasn't my salary paid?" The audience in the studio and at home were stunned. Hammo, who had been listening carefully to every word, now looked increasingly anxious. Antony continued in a more serious tone, "That is truly shocking. Mr. Hammo, do you have an explanation for these accusations?" Hammo, despite trying to maintain his composure, finally responded. "What this anonymous guest is saying is a one-sided perspective. I have always strived to be fair to all my employees, including when it comes to salary payments." In the grand Xanta family mansion, Hammo’s fury remained unrelenting since he returned from the talk show. The sound of shattering glass and destroyed objects echoed throughout the room. The servants could only stand silently in the corners, trying not to attract attention. Darren and Ganza sat on the sofa, exchanging nervous glances, but neither dared to intervene. “Dom! This is all his fault!” Hammo roared, slamming his hand on the table, leaving a large crack on its surface. “He’s the one who invited me to that cursed show!” Darren cautiously attempted to speak. “Dad, maybe it’s not entirely Mr. Dom’s fault. Meanwhile, the triplets—Aca, Eca, and Ica—ran through the house, opening every door they came across and barging into private rooms without the slightest hesitation. It wasn’t long before they discovered the private swimming pool in the backyard. That night, the atmosphere in the Xanta family's dining room was filled with unspoken tension. At the long dining table, illuminated by a luxurious crystal chandelier, Madam Nousa sat at the head of the table with an air of authority, watching over her children: Darren, Ganza, and Biella. Hammo was nowhere among them—he was now imprisoned in his own body, paralyzed and in pain, unaware that his private nurse, recruited by Madam Nousa, was slowly poisoning him with a substance that would gradually destroy his organs. They had just begun their meal when suddenly, the front door swung open, followed by the sound of numerous footsteps. Three middle-aged women, each carrying large suitcases, entered the house with an air of arrogance. Alongside them were six teenage girls, all in their early teens, their eyes filled with excitement as they took in the grand interior of the Xanta estate. They were Lauren and Chika, daughters of Aunt Sauna; Selly, daughter of Aunt Wulan; and the tr

She already knew who had come. Austin, a man in a formal suit with a firm posture and an unreadable face, stepped inside after locking the door behind him. Though age had crept upon him, his body remained solid and strong—a remnant of his past as a former military man. For twenty-eight years, Austin had served as the personal assistant of the Xanta family, handling all affairs and acting as Hammo’s right-hand man. However, no one knew that he was also Madam Nousa’s secret lover. Their affair had begun long before Madam Nousa married Hammo, a relationship that was nothing more than an outlet for their carnal desires. Without a word, Austin loosened his tie and walked toward her. Madam Nousa stood from her chair, inhaled her cigarette deeply, then exhaled the smoke into Austin

That night felt more ominous than usual because the moment she stepped into the main hall, she immediately saw Madam Nousa arriving with Darren and Hammo, who was seated in a wheelchair. It was Madam Nousa herself who pushed the wheelchair, her expression unreadable. Darren’s gaze instantly shifted to Biella, who stood tall beside Zander. His anger flared the moment he saw the man. With a voice full of hatred, Darren snapped, “Biella! You ungrateful child! Your father is in this condition, and all you do is spend time with that useless man? You only think about yourself!” However, Biella did not react as Darren had expected. Her face remained calm, as if his words had no effect on her. With a cold yet firm tone, Biella replied, “I’m ungrateful? Darren, have you forgotten who has been paying for all of Father’s medical expenses? If not me, then who? You?” Darren was momentarily silent, but he quickly tried to d
